The Smart TV That Looks Like Art When It’s Off Is $800 Off Right Now

Most TVs are designed to grab your attention. The problem is that they still take up a big chunk of your wall when you’re not watching anything. Instead of leaving you with a giant black rectangle above the entertainment center, the LG Gallery TV is designed to blend into the room like a piece of framed artwork.

And right now, Amazon has dropped the price to $999.99, down from $1,799.99. That’s an $800 discount on a TV that is designed to look good even when you’re not watching. If you need something smaller, the 55-inch model is on sale for $899.99 (was $1299.99).

Finally, a TV you don’t have to hide

Think about how much time your TV actually spends turned off. You might watch a couple of hours of television at night, but the screen can sit there for most of the day looking like a giant black wall. That’s not exactly ideal if you’ve spent time decorating your living room.

LG’s Gallery TV takes a different approach. It comes with an attachable Snow White frame that gives the TV a more finished, artwork-like appearance. When you’re not watching a movie, game, or show, you can use its art features to display artwork instead of staring at a blank screen.

LG’s Gallery+ feature gives you access to more than 5,000 works of art, ranging from classic pieces to modern designs.

It’s more than a pretty TV

Of course, a TV this expensive needs to do more than look good on the wall. The LG Gallery TV uses Mini LED technology designed to deliver brighter highlights and deeper blacks, along with Dynamic QNED Color for more vibrant colors. It’s a 4K TV, giving you plenty of resolution for movies, sports, streaming services, and everyday television.

There’s also a matte display, which could be one of the more useful features for people with bright living rooms. Rather than dealing with distracting reflections from windows and lamps, the matte screen is designed to reduce glare.

LG also includes automatic brightness control that adjusts the display based on the lighting in your room.

Built for the way we watch TV now

This isn’t an old-school television that needs a separate streaming box for everything. The Gallery TV runs LG’s webOS 2026 smart TV platform and includes Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Bluetooth, HDMI, and USB connectivity. LG also highlights integrations with Google Gemini and Microsoft Copilot, along with voice-control features.

That means you can use it as the centerpiece of a modern streaming setup while still getting the design features that make it different from a typical 65-inch TV.

The $800 discount won’t last long

There’s no getting around the fact that a $1,000 television is still a significant purchase. But there’s a big difference between paying nearly $1,800 for a premium Gallery TV and getting the same model for $999.99.

At the discounted price, you’re getting a 65-inch 4K Mini LED television that can handle your everyday streaming and entertainment while also doing something most TVs can’t by actually becoming part of your home’s decor when the screen is off.

If you’ve been considering a Samsung Frame-style TV or simply don’t love the idea of a giant black screen dominating your living room, this LG deal is worth a closer look. The 65″ LG Gallery TV is now $999.99 at Amazon, down $800 from its $1,799.99 price. Just keep in mind that deals like this can disappear without much warning.
