That’s right, the New Jersey-based finance analyst has claimed the one-two punch of HOH and Veto, making him the strongest person in the house — but only on paper. Remember, Rick Devens still has his Diamond Power of Veto, which he can use to remove any of Yash’s nominees from the chopping block.
Devens has been toying with the idea of using his power to save both Dee and Angela, his two closest allies in the game. He would then name Kamu Kirk and someone else as replacement nominees. If Devens opts not to use the Diamond Power of Veto this week, he still has two more weeks to use it before it expires.
The houseguests competed in the popular OTEV Veto competition in the backyard. That’s the musical chairs-style game that’s played in rounds, with one person being eliminated each round until only the winner remains. Barrett Pfeiffer and Melody Morris were chosen by random draw to compete alongside Yash, Angela, Haley, and Dee; Mallory Aurichio hosted the comp.
Dee is having quite the week. Besides being Yash’s target, she was also involved in the first non-Rome/Lyric kiss of the season when Barrett leaned in and planted a juicy one on her cheek. Dee quickly got up and exited the room, leaving many live feed watchers to wonder what they had just witnessed. Barrett previously confessed in the Diary Room that he had a crush on Dee, but she doesn’t seem to share those feelings. Awkward all around.
Find out whether Devens uses his Diamond Power of Veto when the Veto meeting takes place Monday afternoon. CBS will show it to viewers during Wednesday night’s episode.
