‘Boys for Life’ Cast: Alex Wolff, Will Angus in Almost Friday Movie

“Boys for Life,” the R-rated comedy movie from Tyler Falbo, has set its ensemble cast.

Alex Wolff, Will Angus, Billy Langdon, Liam Cullagh, Chester Collins and Eilise Patton will star in the Paramount Primal film, which, as Variety broke in July, will open theatrically on April 9, 2027.

Plot details are being kept under wraps, but Variety hears “Boys for Life” is a comedy about a group of friends with a dark twist. The project entered production earlier this summer.

Aside from Wolff, the cast consists of the comedic minds behind Almost Friday TV, a sketch crew born out of the digital media company Almost Friday Media. Falbo is the group’s de facto showrunner, producing high-concept videos for YouTube. He directs “Boys for Life” and co-wrote the film’s script with Almost Friday co-founder Max Barrett. Falbo also produces alongside Galen Core.

Wolff will soon be seen reprising his role in the fifth “Jumanji” movie, out Dec. 25. His credits also include the upcoming “Outside of Cleveland” as well as “Hereditary,” “Oppenheimer” and “Pig.” The actor, who got his start as a child star on “The Naked Brothers Band,” will soon star in his sophomore directorial effort, “If She Burns.”

Angus broke out in the Mindy Kaling comedy show “Not Suitable for Work” and will next be seen in Luca Guadagnino’s Sam Altman movie “Artificial” alongside Andrew Garfield.

Langdon, Cullagh and Collins are all founding members of Almost Friday TV, for which they write and act in viral comedy sketches. They also perform live comedy on tour. Alongside Patton, Angus and Falbo, they are developing a comedy series titled “Last Night Was a Movie” for FX.

Under the Almost Friday umbrella, Collins is best known for his portrayal of the fictional alpha male entrepreneur Royce du Pont. Variety broke the news last year that Almost Friday is developing a mockumentary show around the character.

In addition to her work at Almost Friday, Patton is a member of the esteemed Groundlings Main Company in Los Angeles. She appeared on ABC’s “The Rookie” and will lend her voice to the upcoming Netflix animated series “Dang.”

Paramount Primal is the studio’s new genre label headed by J.D. Lifshitz and Raphael Margules, whose Boulderlight Pictures produced “Weapons,” “Friendship” and “Companion.” Paramount Primal aims to partner with both next-generation storytellers and established filmmakers to produce “smartly budgeted films” across horror, comedy, action and grounded sci-fi. The label recently acquired the U.S. rights to adapt the original screenplay for “A Nightmare on Elm Street” from the Wes Craven estate.

Wolff is represented by Untitled Entertainment, WME and 2PM Sharp. Angus is repped by Mosaic, UTA and Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern, LLP. Langdon is repped by Mosaic, UTA and Fox Rothschild. Cullagh is repped by Mosaic, UTA and Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern, LLP. Collins is repped by Range, UTA and Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern, LLP. Patton is repped by Brillstein Entertainment Partners, UTA and Goodman, Genow, Schenkman.
