My Life with the Walter Boys Season 3, Episode 10 spoilers ahead.
The third season of Melanie Halsall’s Netflix drama, inspired by Ali Novak’s novels, showed the aftermath of Season 2’s dramatic cliffhanger, which also included Alex (Ashby Gentry) overhearing Jackie (Nikki Rodriguez) and Cole (Noah LaLonde) profess their feelings for each other. Alex quit riding rodeo, Cole started racing cars, and he and Jackie decided to be together…until Jackie’s family friend Eliot (Naveen Paddock) and uncle Richard (Alex Quijano) pressured Cole to leave Jackie so she could achieve her full potential without him holding her back. Because he cares about her so much, Cole stepped back from the relationship in hopes that he was doing what was best for Jackie. So do they end up together?
My Life with the Walter Boys Season 3, Episode 10, “The Beautiful and the Damned,” was another eventful installment that featured more classic Walter Boys romance, drama, and twists. My Life with the Walter Boys Season 3 Ending Explained: My Life with the Walter Boys Season 3, Episode 10 Recap
After Jackie told Cole she was haunted by the night he broke up with her and knew he’d never stop regretting what he threw away, Season 3’s penultimate episode ended with Cole dangerously street racing again. And elsewhere, Alex and Kiley finally kissed! The finale picks up with Cole risking his life on the road again, but when he gets out of his car, Mack and Dylan are waiting for him. They desperately try to talk sense into him, telling him how reckless he’s being and reminding him that he could have a real career in racing if he drives legitimately and qualifies for the Colorado Grand Prix. After Cole denies Mack’s invite to the weekend qualifier, Dylan puts his foot down, takes the car he bought away from Cole, and tells him he can’t stay at his house anymore.

While Cole was pouting, Alex was finally starting to feel better about quitting rodeo riding, in part, because his mom brought home an injured mustang for him to train so she could treat it. Gaining the horse’s trust gave Alex a refreshing sense of purpose, and it also served as a distraction from his situationship with Kiley, who wasn’t answering his calls or texts post-kiss. Despite Nathan encouraging Alex to tell Kiley how he feels, he fears losing the friendship and tells her it was a “stupid mistake” that didn’t mean anything. She feels horrible about cheating on Dylan, so she agrees. But it’s still icy between them for the rest of the episode…
Aside from the Walter boys, Eliot is helping Jackie get the community center and speakeasy ready for her big opening night party when a pipe bursts and leaves her with a flood, a hole in the ceiling, and electrical and drywall damage that will take a month to fix. Though it destroys her to cancel the event, with only one week until the big day, she fears she has no choice. When she crashes to Cole about how badly she needed things to go right after their breakup, however, he takes matters into his own hands. He secretly goes to Uncle Richard and tells him he heard him. He reveals he broke up with Jackie so she can have the future she deserves, then he asks for help. The next time we see Jackie, Grace is summoning her and Eliot to the community space, where the whole Walter fam, Uncle Richard, and every contractor in Silver Falls is racing to clean and do repairs so Jackie can still have her party.

The mastermind behind the community effort, of course, is Cole, who selflessly hides in the back room and performs his tasks out of sight so he can keep giving Jackie the space he thinks she needs to thrive. (He’s misguided, but he’s also grown so much! Team Cole!) When party day arrives, guests dress in their best Roaring 20s attire, and Cole and Alex watch as Eliot picks Jackie up at the house. In one of my favorite scenes of the season, dare I say the series, Alex and Cole finally talk. They finally listen. And they finally hear each other. They know each other so well, but the past two seasons — and those rough years before we met them — their severed relationship has kept them at an agonizing distance. Alex, who accepted Cole and Jackie only for Cole to break up with her, tells his brother he knows he went to Uncle Richard to save Jackie’s day from afar. When Cole comes clean and admits Eliot and Uncle Richard said he wasn’t good for her, Alex encourages him to tell her the truth before it’s too late. When he comes clean about kissing Kiley, Cole says, “It’s about time!”
At the party, Nathan encourages Alex to take the leap and tell Kiley how he feels, too. So do the Walter boys pour their hearts out before Season 3 ends? Before Alex makes any moves of his own, he does his brother a solid and tells Jackie that Cole talked to Richard, offered to pay the contractors himself, persuaded all the guys from the garage to help, and still cares about her. The admission sends an already confused Jackie spiraling, and in a moment alone, she texts Cole to thank him for everything he did.

Rather than go to the community event, Cole gets his car back from Dylan and takes his parents to the knockout qualifying race. He makes it to the final round and is set to face off against a legendary driver named Danvers. But first, he has a touching heart-to-heart with his parents, who ALSO tell him to fight for Jackie — Eliot and Uncle Richard be damned! Just as Cole’s about to race Danvers, he gets Jackie’s text and decides to bail to tell her how he feels. His parents support him and head home to toast to the next chapter of their kids’ lives. Will is moving. Nathan is going on a European band tour. Danny got into Carnegie Mellon. And things are about to change, even more than they know…
Back at the party, Dylan — clearly feeling threatened — confronts Alex and asks him to leave Kiley alone for a little. Alex agrees, and he seems sincere. But you know the last-minute bursts of passion those Walter boys get! Jackie, desperately trying to get over Cole and have some fun, dances with Eliot, and the two admit how glad they are to have reconnected. When Jackie tells Eliot she’s loved having a reminder of her old life, he tells her it doesn’t have to be her old life. It’s waiting for her if she wants it.
In Season 3’s final minutes, Alex knocks on Kiley’s door only for Dylan to answer. She finally trusted him to meet her grandma, which crushes Alex. He doesn’t get to tell Kiley how he feels, and Dylan knows he went back on his word. Yikes! As Cole drives to the party, a car speeds up beside him. It’s Danvers, who’s furious he ditched the race and cost him his cash prize and another win. Cole apologizes and drives off, but Danvers doesn’t quit. He races after Cole, crashes into his car, and it flips over. With Cole’s fate up in the air, My Life with the Walter Boys cuts back to Jackie and Eliot kissing on the dance floor.

NOOOOOOO! This is a titular Walter boy and clearly Jackie’s soulmate we’re talking about here. So we can’t imagine a world in which Cole doesn’t make it out of that crash. But there’s no denying that everything will change when My Life with the Walter Boys returns. Don’t leave us hanging again, Netflix! We need Season 4 ASAP!
My Life with the Walter Boys Season 3 is now streaming on Netflix.
