The Blind Auditions are about to get a lot less blind. NBC has started production on The Voice: Celebrity, an new edition of its four-time Emmy-winning musical competition series that trades undiscovered talent for a roster of actors, musicians, influencers, athletes, comedians, and reality TV personalities, all chasing the title of first celebrity champion.
Joe Jonas makes his coaching debut on the panel, and Keke Palmer takes over as host — a first for the franchise, which has been fronted by Carson Daly since its 2011 launch. Here’s everything to know about The Voice: Celebrity.
Who is competing?
The celebrity artists have not been announced. NBC says the field will draw from across the entertainment and sports worlds, including actors, musicians, influencers, athletes, comedians, and reality stars.
Who is hosting The Voice: Celebrity?
Palmer will be the first person besides Daly to host a season of The Voice. The Emmy-winning actress, singer, producer, and author was named the 2025 NAACP Image Award Entertainer of the Year. She made history at the 2024 Emmys as the first Black woman — and the first woman in 15 years — to win Best Host for a Game Show, for NBC’s Password revival. She also hosts the Wondery podcast Baby, This is Keke Palmer and released her album Just Keke in June 2025.
Her recent screen credits include One of Them Days, Aziz Ansari’s Good Fortune, The Pick Up, Peacock’s The Burbs remake, and Boots Riley’s I Love Boosters.
What is Carson Daly’s role?
Daly serves as a producer on the celebrity season, and he continues to host the flagship series, which returns this fall for its 30th season with coaches Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, Queen Latifah, and Riley Green.
Who are the coaches?
Jonas joins returning coaches Latifah and Green, both of whom are pulling back-to-back seasons. The Grammy-nominated pop star fronts DNCE — whose quintuple-platinum “Cake by the Ocean” won them Best New Artist at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards — and is a third of the Jonas Brothers, who released Greetings from Your Hometown and launched the JONAS20 tour in 2025 to mark the band’s 20th anniversary. He put out his second solo album, Music for People Who Believe in Love, and in May 2026 launched the podcast Hey Jonas! with brothers Kevin and Nick.

Joe is not the first Jonas to sit in one of the red chairs. Brother Nick Jonas coached two seasons of the flagship series — Season 18 in 2020 and Season 20 in 2021 — after first appearing on the show as a Battle Advisor for Team Christina Aguilera in Season 8. He returned to that advisor role for Team Reba McEntire on Season 28 last year. Neither of his two stints as a full coach produced a winner; Blake Shelton took both titles.
Latifah and Green each arrive with a season of coaching already behind them, and the three-chair lineup spans pop, hip-hop, and country.
What’s new this season?
Three new formats give viewers more access to the competitors. Voice Boot Camp follows the celebrities as they prepare for the Blind Auditions. The VIP Room gathers the artists to watch one another perform in real time. Later in the run, the Workroom opens up rehearsals and strategy sessions ahead of the Battles.
When does ‘The Voice: Celebrity’ premiere?
NBC has set the season for 2027 but has not announced a premiere date. Production is underway now.
