Will There Be a ‘Ride or Die’ Season 2 on Prime Video?

There’s truly a little something for everyone on Prime Video.

If you’re a fan of horror movies, the Marc Klasfeld-directed horror thriller Do Not Enter is now streaming on the platform. If you’re in the mood for something a little less spooky, you can always press play on the Legally Blonde prequel Elle, box office megahit Project Hail Mary (Amaze! Amaze! Amaze!), or YA hit Every Year After.

Are we forgetting anything? What about the buzzy new Octavia Spencer/Hannah Waddingham action comedy Ride or Die?!

Now streaming on Prime Video, the series follows two best friends — Debbie (Spencer) and Judith (Waddingham) — who know everything about each other… well… except that one of them is an international assassin. Huh. You learn something new every day! Per Amazon, “when a mysterious figure emerges from Judith’s past, and a hit goes horribly wrong, both of their worlds are turned upside down as they’re forced to go on the run together.”

The first season is in the books, but streamers are wondering what the future holds for this exciting new series. Will there be a Ride or Die Season 2? Here’s everything we know.

How Many Episodes Are There of Ride or Die On Prime Video?

The first season consists of eight episodes.

Who’s In The Cast of Ride or Die on Prime Video?

Along with Octavia Spencer and Hannah Waddingham, the series also stars Ed Skrein as “Billy,” Calam Lynch as “Sam,” Savannah Steyn as “Queenie,” Jamie Parker as “David,” Jacky Ido as “Jacques,” Sylvia Hoeks as “Ana,” and Bill Nighy as “The Director.”

Has Ride or Die Been Renewed For Season 2?

Not yet. But that’s completely normal when you consider the series only debuted on July 15.

Will There Be a Ride or Die Season 2 on Prime Video?

We don’t have an official announcement regarding a second season of Ride or Die, but it’s looking very good. The show not only has a 97% Tomatometer score, but it’s also currently the No. 1 program on Prime Video.

Perhaps the most crucial indicator of a second season is that production is already thinking about where the story would go after the events of the Season 1 finale.

“We would pick up directly with the train; however, Season 2 would be a totally new story,” showrunner Matt Miller told Gold Derby during a recent interview. “So we’d have new bad guys, new villains, new danger, and new countries that Debbie and Judith are visiting, because part of the show is this wanderlust. And without giving away too many spoilers, there’d be a wedding.”

Again, there hasn’t been any official Season 2 news, but we believe there’s a very strong chance that Ride or Die will be back for a second season.

Where To Watch Ride or Die Online:

Ride or Die is streaming exclusively on Prime Video.

If you aren’t a Prime Video subscriber yet, you can get started with a 30-day Amazon Prime free trial, including Prime perks like the Prime Video streaming service, free two-day shipping, exclusive deals, and more. After the free trial, Amazon Prime costs $14.99/month or $139/year.

All 18- to 24-year-olds, regardless of student status, are eligible for a discounted Prime for Young Adults membership as well, with age verification. After a six-month free trial, you’ll pay 50% off the standard Prime monthly price of $14.99/month — just $7.49/month — for up to six years and get all the perks.

Ride or Die Season 1 is now streaming on Prime Video.
