Kane Parsons’ directorial debut Backrooms heads to digital this week, so if you didn’t catch it in theaters now is the time to see one of the most-talked-about movies of 2026. Chiwetel Ejiofor stars in the film as Clark, a furniture store owner who discovers a portal to “the backrooms,” a labyrinthine liminal space. Renate Reinsve plays his therapist, Mary, who becomes concerned for Clark and ends up entering the backrooms herself. Mark Duplass, Lukita Maxwell and Finn Bennett also star in the film which arrived to digital on Tuesday.
Nate Bargatze wrote and stars in The Breadwinner, and updated take on Mr. Mom if you’re old enough to remember that 1983 classic. In the film, Bargatze and Mandy Moore star star as Nate and Katie Wilcox, a married couple with three daughters. After Katie goes on Shark Tank, she’s offered a deal for her invention that will require extensive travel. Nate quits his job to watch their daughters while Katie is out of town, but he’s clearly out of his depth when it comes to minding the house and kids.
