Last year, the music world experienced a tour that many thought was impossible: Liam and Noel Gallagher, the on-and-off-again brotherly duo at the center of Britpop’s biggest band, returned to the stage together for an Oasis reunion tour.
The coming-together seemed so unlikely for so long that when it finally did happen, of course there needed to be a documentary crew on hand to capture it all.
Luckily, Academy Awards nominee and Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight understood the assignment and made Don’t Look Back in Anger, an all-access look behind the scenes of the Oasis Live ’25 Tour, which now has a teaser trailer ahead of its release later this summer.
The Trailer
The Backstory
The official description of the documentary, which is directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace (Shut Up and Play the Hits, Meet Me in the Bathroom), describes the film as “an unapologetically uplifting account of arguably the biggest musical event of 2025.”
“I genuinely cannot wait for the world to see this film,” Knight said in a statement when the film was originally announced. “I believe it captures the spirit and emotion of a global cultural moment and does justice to the wit and genius of two exceptional people. I wanted to tell the story of the brothers and the band, but just as important, the story of the fans whose lives the music has touched and sometimes changed forever. It is also the story of how music and songwriting can unite generations, cultures, countries and in a time of spite and division, give us all some reason to hope.”
Don’t Look Back in Anger will reportedly feature rehearsal footage and onstage access during the tour, as well as the Gallaghers’ first joint interview in more than 25 years.
The Release Date
Don’t Look Back in Anger will play on select Imax screens and in theaters around the world this September before premiering on Hulu and Disney+ later this year.
