The Minds Behind ‘A Quiet Place,’ ‘The Purge,’ and the ‘X-Men’ Franchise Join Collider’s SDCC 2026 Producers Panel

As we head into July, Collider is proud to announce that we’ll be returning to one of the largest entertainment conventions in the world with San Diego’s Comic-Con! This year, for our “Producers on Producing” panel, we’re thrilled to invite Simon Kinberg (The Martian, Logan, Deadpool), Andrew Form (A Quiet Place franchise, The Purge franchise, Anaconda), and Brad Fuller (A Quiet Place franchise, The Purge franchise, Drop), to join us for a wide-ranging conversation about what it actually means to be a producer in Hollywood.

If you haven’t had the chance to catch one of our Comic-Con panels in previous years, “Producers on Producing,” moderated by our own Steve Weintraub, offers movie lovers an inside look at what Hollywood producers do behind the scenes for all of your favorite movies. Filmmaking, especially for big blockbusters, is a long and arduous process, and producers are often with a film from the beginning of its lifecycle to the very end, managing the script, financing, production oversight, all the way through to marketing, to make sure that the director can execute their vision.

For our last Producers on Producing panel, we hosted Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Akiva Goldsman, and Roy Lee, and not only heard stories from the sets of movies like John Carpenter’s The Thing and Renny Harlin’s Deep Blue Sea, but we got brand-new details on sequels and adaptations that were yet to come, including this year’s Practical Magic 2. This year, join us for the panel on what it truly means to be a movie producer. We’ll discuss past projects, behind-the-scenes sneak peeks, and what fans can expect from upcoming movies. Plus, it wouldn’t be a Collider Comic-Con panel without a few surprises!

Meet the Producers

Under his company Genre Films, Kinberg oversaw the X-Men universe for over a decade, producing films ranging from X-Men: First Class and X-Men: Days of Future Past to the Oscar-Nominated Logan and Deadpool films, and their team-up Deadpool & Wolverine. In addition, he’s produced films of all genres, spanning from the live-action Cinderella, to Kenneth Branagh’s Agatha Christie trilogy starting with Murder on the Orient Express, and Ridley Scott’s The Martian, which was nominated for seven Academy Awards, including Best Picture. Kinberg’s films have grossed more than 10 billion dollars at the box office. At the panel, we’ll revisit all these, plus look ahead to the many projects Kinberg has lined up, including his romantic heist drama, Here Comes the Flood, starring Denzel Washington, Robert Pattinson, and Daisy Edgar-Jones, Olivia Wilde’s Avengelyne, and Phil Lord and Christopher Miller’s next Andy Weir adaptation, Artemis.

Producing partners Andrew Form and Brad Fuller will also be hitting the stage with us. This duo met through Michael Bay before starting up Platinum Dunes with the action director, launching the company with 2003’s The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. They continued their gritty horror reboot streak with The Amityville Horror, starring Reynolds, The Hitcher with Sean Bean, Friday the 13th starring Jared Padelecki, and Warner Bros. Pictures’ A Nightmare on Elm Street.

Form and Fuller’s next collaboration launched an entirely original horror franchise with 2013’s The Purge. They later reunited with John Krasinski and Paramount Pictures to create another landmark original franchise, A Quiet Place. The duo will reunite once again for Krasinski’s third and final installment in the original trilogy, A Quiet Place III, scheduled for release next year. Beyond A Quiet Place III, Fuller is producing The Caretaker starring Sydney Sweeney, OutRun with Michael Bay and Sydney Sweeney, Christopher Landon’s Blink of an Eye, and several additional projects currently in development.

Don’t miss out on your chance to claim your seats for Collider’s next Producers on Producing panel at SDCC! Comic-Con will be announcing the panel’s time, location, and date soon, so be sure to keep an eye on SDCC’s schedule updates for more information.
