Netflix released its best Indian Original movie of the year so far.

Anticipation was high for the Original Hindi crime comedy film Maa Behen thanks to its stellar cast, and boy, did they deliver the laughs. Netflix’s other Indian Original project this month is the reality competition show Lock Upp, which traps controversial celebrities in a mock prison to rehabilitate their images.

Here are all of the Indian movies and series added to Netflix in June 2026. Be sure to check out our HUGE Indian slate preview for 2026 and beyond.

N = Netflix Original

New Indian Movies on Netflix: June 2026

29 (2026)

Languages: Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, & Telugu
Runtime: 138 Minutes
Director: Rathna Kumar
Cast: Vidhu, Preethi Asrani, Mahendran
Genre: Romantic Drama | Added to Netflix: June 4

Directionless Sathya can’t seem to find a purpose in life, and his looming 30th birthday isn’t helping. He meets a woman named Viji, who is as driven and motivated as he is not. They fall in love, but their future remains uncertain as Sathya struggles to commit to, well, anything. Can Sathya find his path — if not for his love, then for his own sake? Additional dialogue options can be found in the film’s audio menu.

Maa Behen (2026) N

Languages: Hindi, English, Tamil, & 12 more
Runtime: 127 Minutes
Director: Suresh Triveni
Cast: Madhuri Dixit, Triptii Dimri, Dharna Durga
Genre: Crime Comedy | Added to Netflix: June 4

A widow turns to her two adult daughters for help with an unusual problem: her neighbor is dead in her kitchen. The solution to dealing with the body would be more straightforward if the circumstances — a married man visiting a gorgeous single woman with a racy reputation in the middle of the night — weren’t sure to cause a scandal. Maa Behen is a really fun, well-acted look at the toll gossip takes on women and how this trio turns their infamy to their advantage. Additional dialogue options can be found in the film’s audio menu.

Bhooth Bangla (2026)

Languages: Hindi, English, French, & 9 more
Runtime: 164 Minutes
Director: Priyadarshan
Cast: Akshay Kumar, Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi
Genre: Horror Comedy | Added to Netflix: June 11

Filmmaker Priyadarshan brings back much of the cast of his 2007 haunted house flick Bhool Bhulaiyaa (streaming on Netflix) for a new, unrelated movie about another Bhooth Bangla (“Haunted Mansion“). This time, Akshay Kumar — the lead in both films — plays a Londoner who inherits an estate in India. He celebrates by holding his sister’s wedding at the family manor, despite local folktales of a monster that steals brides on their wedding night. Turns out the stories weren’t tall tales after all. Additional dialogue options can be found in the film’s audio menu.

Kalank (2026)

Language: Hindi
Runtime: 165 Minutes
Director: Abhishek Varman
Cast: Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Madhuri Dixit
Genre: Period Piece, Romantic Drama | Added to Netflix: June 13

Set in turbulent pre-Partition Pakistan, a wealthy Hindu woman in a loveless marriage falls in love with a Muslim blacksmith, putting them in danger during a time of fiery social upheaval. Kalank is stunning to look at, with grand sets, gorgeous costumes, and lavish dance numbers. Fans of the Netflix Original series Heeramandi will want to watch it for another look at the lives of Lahore’s famed courtesans.

Blast (2026)

Languages: Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, & Telugu
Runtime: 141 Minutes
Director: Subash K. Raj
Cast: Arjun Sarja, Abhirami, Preity Mukhandhan
Genre: Action, Martial Arts | Added to Netflix: June 24

A karate teacher, his wife, and their daughter object to a mining company’s environmentally catastrophic drilling plans. Their stance becomes a matter of life and death when the company’s CEO hires an assassin to eliminate the family, forcing them to put their martial arts skills to the ultimate test. Additional dialogue options can be found in Blast‘s audio menu.

Raja Shivaji (2026)

Languages: Marathi & Hindi
Runtime: 194 Minutes
Director: Riteish Deshmukh
Cast: Riteish Deshmukh, Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan
Genre: Historical, Action | Added to Netflix: June 25

Actor Riteish Deshmukh gets behind the camera for the second time in the historical drama Raja Shivaji. Deshmukh also plays Shivaji, founder of the Maratha Empire, and the story focuses on his rise to power in the 17th Century. Raja Shivaji was filmed simultaneously in Marathi and Hindi, and Netflix defaults to the Marathi dialogue version. The Hindi version can be selected in the film’s audio menu. Most of Deshmukh’s co-stars in Raja Shivaji act primarily in Hindi films, including Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, Vidya Balan, and Genelia Deshmukh, Riteish’s real-life wife.

New Indian Series on Netflix: June 2026

India’s Got Latent, Season 2 (2026)

Language: Hindi
Seasons: 1
Episodes: 1
Cast: Samay Raina
Genre: Reality Competition | Added to Netflix: June 20

Netflix India partnered with content creator Samay Raina to air Season 2 of the talent show India’s Got Latent simultaneously on Netflix and Raina’s YouTube channel. Performers have 90 seconds to wow Raina and his guest judges, which included the stars of the upcoming action flick Alpha — Alia Bhatt and Sharvari — in the first episode of the new season. There’s no information on when a second episode will arrive.

Bãhubali: The Torch Bearer (2026)

Language: Telugu
Seasons: 1
Episodes: 4
Cast: S.S. Rajamouli, Prabhas, Rana Daggubati
Genre: Documentary | Added to Netflix: June 25

Baahubali is the movie franchise that keeps on giving. Both films are back on Netflix again after having expired last year, along with Baahubali: The Epic, which combines both movies into one. Now we get the making-of series Bãhubali: The Torch Bearer. The four-episode series features behind-the-scenes footage from the movie sets and looks at the lasting impact of the franchise.

Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa (2026) N

Languages: Hindi
Seasons: 1
Episodes: 5
Cast: Farah Khan, Riteish Deshmukh
Genre: Reality Competition | Added to Netflix: June 27

Netflix reboots the Indian reality competition series Lock Upp with a new season, subtitled “Sach Ya Sazaa” (“Truth or Punishment“). Fifteen well-known personalities with controversial images — including Pam from the Netflix Original series Desi Bling — are locked in a bare-bones jail for six weeks. In order to outlast the others and improve their living conditions, the “inmates” must complete challenges designed to reveal their true selves. The one who impresses jailers Farah Khan and Raja Shivaji‘s Riteish Deshmukh the most will win. The series airs new episodes Saturday through Wednesday at 8 p.m. IST.
