‘A Castle of Our Own’ Hallmark Cast Guide: Who Stars In The New Summer Romance?

Alexa, play “Sandcastles in the Sand” by Robin Sparkles…

Set in the beach town of Cannon Cove, Oregon, Hallmark Channel‘s A Castle of Our Own channels sandy, summer fun through a sandcastle competition that just might bring a woman and her daughter together, but also might bring that woman a new love story. The new movie centers on “overworked architect” Marley (Erica Cerra). After she meets a contractor named Adam (Brennan Elliott), he reminds her to live for herself and the people she loves as opposed to solely her job.

A Castle of Our Own wraps up Hallmark’s Summer Nights movie lineup, following The Greek Aisle, Texas Two-Step, and The Love Heist. Next up? Christmas in July, which not only brings a merry movie marathon of Christmas movies past and four new ones to join Hallmark’s Christmassy catalog, but also a new season of Christmas at Sea on Hallmark+.

But before you hear those sleigh bells jingling (and ring-ting-tingling, too), stay in a sunny mindset and check out our A Castle of Our Own cast guide.

Warning: Light spoilers for A Castle of Our Own, premiering tonight on Hallmark Channel at 8 p.m., with next-day streaming on Hallmark+.

Marley (Erica Cerra) is dying to spend more time with her daughter Lily, but is prevented from doing so by her job as a strip mall architect. She maintains a healthy relationship with her ex-husband, though both of them struggle to find the quality time to give to their daughter.

A Castle of Our Own marks Cerra’s fourth Hallmark Channel movie, with her most recent being 2024’s A Dance in the Snow. Outside of the network, Cerra’s TV work includes Eureka, The 100, and Nancy Drew. She is also known for lending her voice to the role of Susan in the animated Diary of a Wimpy Kid movies.

  2. Brennan Elliott in 'A Castle of Our Own'

Brennan Elliott stars as Adam, a contractor residing in Cannon Cove who struggles to finish work on his home while he is navigating his wife leaving him. A proud uncle to his niece Paige, he is full of sage wisdom, and is likely to drop an insightful one-liner.

Elliott is one of the network’s stars, starring in over 20 Hallmark Channel movies. Before A Castle of Our Own, he starred alongside Lacey Chabert in 2024’s His & Hers, which marked their tenth movie together for the network.

  3. Erica Cerra and Sarah Sheehan in 'A Castle of Our Own'

Sarah Sheehan plays Lily, Marley’s daughter who not only is struggling to secure quality time with her workaholic parents, but also with her friends at home. Fortunately, her upcoming trip to Cannon Cove presents her with the opportunity to make a friend and strengthen her relationship with her mother.

This film is Sheehan’s first Hallmark Channel movie. Per IMDb, Sheehan is set to appear in Prime Video‘s Legally Blonde prequel series, Elle.

  4. Barbara Pollard in 'A Castle of Our Own'

Barbara Pollard plays Betty Finch, the enthusiastic mayor of Cannon Cove who is thrilled to welcome everyone to the beach town’s annual sandcastle competition.

This is certainly not Pollard’s first Hallmark movie, as she starred in last year’s Merry Christmas, Ted Cooper! Her TV credits include The X-Files, R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour, Chesapeake Shores, and Virgin River.

Paige (played by Sophie Thom) is Adam’s niece, who is excited to find a friend in Marley’s daughter, Lily, when they arrive in Cannon Cove.

Thom most recently appeared in episodes of The Hunting Party and Family Law. She is also set to appear in Prime Video’s Elle, per IMDb.

  6. Erica Cerra, Kendra Anderson, and Brennan Elliott in 'A Castle of Our Own'

Sadie (Kendra Anderson) is Adam’s sister and Paige’s mother, who encourages Adam to make a move with Marley and also get a move on finishing his house. She also assists with signups for the annual sandcastle-building competition.

Anderson most recently appeared in Lifetime‘s Accused: The Karen Read Story. The last time she appeared in a Hallmark project was an episode of the network’s drama series Signed, Sealed, Delivered in 2014.

Dan (David James Lewis) is Marley’s ex-husband, though the two sustain a healthy relationship. However, like Marley, he is having trouble setting aside time from work to spend with Lily, especially knowing that the money he makes will go directly toward her future.

Over the course of Lewis’ decades-long career, he has appeared in shows such as John Doe, The L Word, Smallville, Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce, Unspeakable, Cruel Summer, and Tracker.

  8. Emy Aneke in 'A Castle of Our Own'

Gordo (Em Aneke), described by as a “trust fund baby,” sets out to best Adam in the sandcastle competition, and won’t seem to let past rivalries go by the wayside.

Aneke has made cameos on shows like Stargate SG-1, The Drive, and iZombie. On the film front, he’s been in The Five People You Meet in Heaven (2004), Star Trek Beyond (2016), The Layover (2017), and The Predator (2018).
