Next Gen NYC is back for Season 2, but one fan-favorite cast member was noticeably absent from the premiere episode.

Riley Burruss, daughter of Real Housewives of Atlanta legend Kandi Burruss, joined the hit reality show with fellow Bravo nepo babies Gia Giudice, Brooks Marks, and Ariana Biermann. Fans got to watch as Burruss and Biermann, daughter of RHOA alum Kim Zolciak, reignited a closer-than-ever friendship as they navigated a dramatic friend group and life in the Big Apple.

“I hadn’t seen Ariana in over 10 years, so that was a relationship that really evolved the most,” Riley told DECIDER when she stopped by our studio last year.

Unfortunately, the first episode of Next Gen NYC‘s sophomore season didn’t feature any scenes between the two BFFs. In fact, Riley wasn’t in any of the episode. Why? Well, keep reading for everything we know!

Why wasn’t Riley Burruss in the Next Gen NYC Season 2 premiere?

Riley Burruss is living her best life, even if that means missing the first few days of filming for Next Gen NYC Season 2. At the top of the episode, Emira D’Spain reveals that Burruss spent her summer on the “Asia leg of the Riley World Tour.” But, according to Ariana Biermann, Burruss missed the first cast event because she was in Atlanta, GA, where her family, including Real Housewives of Atlanta mom Kandi Burruss, live.

Is Riley Burruss still on Next Gen NYC?

Yes! Riley Burruss will be in Next Gen NYC Season 2. Hopefully, we’ll see her reunite with the cast in next week’s episode!
