The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced its 2026 class of new member invitees, extending offers to 529 artists and executives. Among those invited are recent Oscar nominees Teyana Taylor (One Battle After Another), Jacob Elordi (Frankenstein) and Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas (Sentimental Value), as well as actors Jenna Ortega, Josh O’Connor, Mia Goth, Bill Skarsgård, Julia Garner, and the Safdie brothers, among many others.
This year’s class includes 95 Oscar nominees — 21 of them winners — and three Scientific and Technical Award recipients. If all invitees accept, the Academy’s total membership will reach 11,319, with 10,338 voting members. The 2026 invitee class is 42% women, 56% from underrepresented communities, and 53% international, representing 60 countries and territories outside the United States; with their addition, the full Academy membership will stand at 36% women, 25% from underrepresented communities, and 22% international.
