Love Island USA just dumped its first Islander of Season 8.

The hit Peacock dating series, which films for six weeks in Fiji and is hosted by Ariana Madix, has barely been airing for a week and it’s already bringing the drama. With the new group of Islanders eager to explore connections, the introduction of three hot bombshells in the first five episodes has not only threatened to upend current couplings, but has sent one OG Islander packing.

So, who went home in last night’s episode? Keep reading for everything you need to know!

What happened in Love Island USA Season 8, Episode 5?

The first recoupling of Love Island USA Season 8 took place during Sunday night’s (June 7) episode, and since no one is officially closed off just yet, anything could’ve happened. However, the main concerns surrounded the futures of Kenzie Annis and Sean Reifel, both of whom were left single and vulnerable after their initial partners coupled up with the first set of bombshells. While Kenzie and Sean seemed to form a bit of a romance themselves in the following days, things were thrown for a loop with the addition of bombshell Corbin Mims, who set his sights on Kenzie.

At the recoupling, the girls were tasked with choosing which guy they wanted to couple up with, meaning one of the male Islanders would be going home that night. But this is Love Island USA, so, of course, there were plot twists. Before the girls began, Corbin was told to pick which girl he wanted to couple up with, and when he chose Kenzie, that took Sean’s strongest match off of the table. His only other chance at remaining in the villa was through Trinity Tatum, who had been in a couple with Bryce Detloff since day one. In the end, Trinity had to choose between Sean and Bryce…

Trinity ultimately chose to remain in her couple with Bryce, leaving Sean—a 29-year-old police officer and single dad—single, vulnerable, and dumped from the villa in Season 8, Episode 5.

Love Island USA airs every night except for Wednesdays at 9/8c on Peacock, with Aftersun specials airing Saturdays.
