The Gotham Film & Media Institute hosts the 2026 Gotham Television Awards on Monday night in downtown Manhattan, with the ceremony streaming live beginning at 6:15 p.m. ET on the official Gothams YouTube channel (watch below).
The third annual Gotham Television Awards honors some of the year’s most acclaimed new series and performances across comedy, drama, limited series, nonfiction, and original film.
Netflix’s Big Mistakes and Death by Lightning lead all programs with four nominations each. Big Mistakes earned recognition in Breakthrough Comedy Series along with acting nods for Dan Levy, Taylor Ortega, and Laurie Metcalf. Death By Lightning scored nominations for Best Limited or Anthology Series plus acting bids for Matthew Macfadyen, Michael Shannon, and Nick Offerman.
Several other programs followed with three nominations apiece, including HBO’s A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, DTF St. Louis, and I Love L.A.; Apple TV’s Pluribus; Netflix’s Beef; and FX/Hulu’s Alien: Earth.
In the run-up to the ceremony, the Gothams revealed its slate of special honorees. Imperfect Women‘s Kerry Washington will receive the Spotlight Tribute; Michelle Pfeiffer will receive the Legend Tribute for her roles on two Emmy-contending shows, The Madison and Margo’s Got Money Troubles (Pfeiffer received a Gotham nomination for Outstanding Supporting Performance in a Comedy Series for her Margo role); and Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer will receive the Visionary Tribute Award.
