Donald Trump Jr. and Bettina Anderson Are Engaged
Donald Trump is staying put at the White House this weekend.
Days ahead of his son, Donald Trump Jr.‘s, wedding to socialite Bettina Anderson, the 79-year-old explained why he ultimately had to RSVP “No” to his eldest’s nuptials.
“While I very much wanted to be with my son, Don Jr., and the newest member of the Trump Family, his soon to be wife, Bettina,” Trump wrote in one of many Truth Social posts shared on May 22, “circumstances pertaining to Government, and my love for the United States of America, do not allow me to do so.”
“I feel it is important for me to remain in Washington, D.C., at the White House during this important period of time,” Trump concluded, signing off with a “Congratulations to Don and Bettina!”
With the blessing of his father, Don Jr.’s wedding—which is set to take place over Memorial Day Weekend 2026—will happen on a small island in the Bahamas, multiple outlets report. However, the newlyweds didn’t wait until their ceremony to officially tie the knot. Don Jr. and Bettina got legally married on May 21, according to a marriage application obtained by People, with the model’s twin sister, Kristina Anderson McPherson, serving as their witness.
