After dominating the Oscars, the Grammys, the Billboard charts, and even toy stores, what’s next for KPop Demon Hunters?
A global concert tour, of course!
Netflix and AEG Presents are teaming up to bring the magic of Rumi, Mira, and Zoey to “an arena near you,” the companies jointly announced on May 13. The animated action-musical, which dominated awards season (see below), is Netflix’s most-watched original movie of all time, so it only makes sense that the streamer would want to capitalize on its “golden” success. A sequel movie has also been ordered, with an expected 2029 premiere date.
Read on for everything to know about the KPop Demon Hunters global concert tour — admittedly, it’s not much, as many details are still being worked out.
THE CONCEPT

The concert tour will be a live experience that brings elements of the movie and the pop trio known as Huntr/x to life “in spectacular ways … as your favorite idols get ready to jet around the world,” per Netflix and AEG Presents.
There’s no word yet on whether the singing voices or speaking voices of Rumi (Arden Cho; Ejae), Mira (May Hong; Audrey Nuna), and Zoey (Ji-young Yoo; Rei Ami) will be a part of the tour. However, Rei Ami told Gold Derby last year that she would participate in a potential global concert: “Yes, put me on tour!”
THE TICKETS

Nothing in life comes for free, so fans will need to buy tickets to the concert. However, tickets are not currently available for sale. Instead, there is a waitlist for people to join that will notify them when more information is announced, including prices and dates.
THE ARENAS

Similarly, Netflix and AEG Presents are still ironing out the details of where the in-person concerts will take place around the world. Sign up at the link above with your name, email, and phone number to be the first to know when KPop Demon Hunters releases its arena schedule.
THE FILM

In case you’ve been living under a rock, KPop Demon Hunters comes from directors Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, and follows K-pop superstars who sell out stadiums by day and fight demons by night. Despite their differences, Huntr/x must come together to fight their biggest enemy yet: a rival boy band, Saja Boys, who are actually supernatural villains in disguise.
