‘The Amazing Digital Circus: The Last Act’ Coming to Netflix in June 2026

The Amazing Digital Circus Finale Netflix Release Date

Netflix has itself now confirmed that The Amazing Digital Circus: The Last Act, which consists of the show’s highly anticipated finale episode (and the already released eighth episode), will arrive on Netflix globally on June 19th, 2026, alongside the YouTube debut of the finale and following its unprecedented theatrical rollout.

The psychological dark comedy from creator Gooseworx and the team at GLITCH Productions has been an absolute juggernaut since its initial YouTube debut back in 2023. If you’ve been eagerly waiting to see how the twisted journey of Pomni, Jax, Caine, and the rest of the digital crew finally concludes on Netflix, your patience is about to be rewarded.

As we previously reported in March, Episode 8 premiered on YouTube but was noticeably absent from Netflix. This wasn’t cause for panic, though! During the GLITCH Direct 2025 presentation, the creators explained an evolving release strategy for their Netflix licensing deal. Because Netflix viewers are heavily accustomed to binge-watching, GLITCH and/or Netflix decided to move away from the simultaneous day-and-date individual episode drops we saw earlier in the show’s run. Instead, they opted to bundle new episodes together—a strategy that worked wonders when Episodes 5, 6, and 7 were released as a unified batch back in December 2025.

Now, the grand finale is getting the exact same treatment, but with a massive theatrical twist.

“The Last Act” combines the recently released Episode 8 with a brand-new, hour-long Episode 9 to form an extended-length conclusion. Before it hits Netflix, this final act is taking the cinema box office by storm. According to Cartoon Brew, GLITCH’s partnership with Fathom Events has completely shattered presale records, grossing over $7.5 million in the U.S. and expanding its footprint from 900 to over 2,000 theaters, with theaters from around the world now set to showcase it after dedicated fan campaigns.

The theatrical release was a surprise announcement alongside the finale trailer where the team wrote:

“Hey guys! We’re going to the big screen for the very first time!! This is a CRAZY leap of faith we’re taking for indie animation, and we couldn’t be more excited. The hour-long grand final episode of TADC will be combined with Episode 8 and shown EARLY at hundreds of cinemas around the world from June 4th.

We’re furiously contacting theatres to get this out to as many places as possible. If it’s not in a movie theatre in your location, respectfully call your local movie theatre and ask them to air! It might just work.”!

What is the final episode about?

So, what can fans actually expect from this supersized finale? If the official synopsis is anything to go by, things are looking remarkably bleak. Following the explosive events leading up to the finale, Caine is gone, leaving the circus completely dark. Our beloved cast is left entirely to their own devices, and the lingering mistakes and traumas of their pasts.

As the terrifying prospect of eternity sets in, Pomni and the gang will finally discover the ultimate truth about the Digital Circus and its mysterious history. The big question remains: will they come to terms with what they uncover, or will they make… “the other choice”?

Rest assured, though, Gooseworx and the team haven’t entirely abandoned the show’s dark comedic roots. As the official Fathom Events description cheekily promises, “presumably at some point someone says something funny, because this ending can’t be THAT depressing, can it?”

The theatrical window for The Last Act is officially scheduled to run from June 4th through June 18th. It’s no coincidence, then, that Netflix is perfectly timed to drop the final batch the very next day alongside YouTube.

It’s been a wild ride for The Amazing Digital Circus on Netflix. From breaking out into the weekly global top 10 charts to giving us all a minor heart attack with an erroneous “leaving soon” notice late last year, the show has definitively proven to be one of the most successful pieces of independent animation in streaming history.
