The final season of a beloved sci-fi series is finally coming to Netflix in June 2026

One of television’s most uniquely charming sci-fi comedies has made its way back into the Netflix spotlight. This time, it’s with its fourth and final season, which is reportedly set to arrive on the platform in June 2026!

Who’s a big fan of Resident Alien? Well, the timing couldn’t be better for viewers who have been waiting to see how this wildly original story wraps up because the last installment is headed to Netflix next month.

The series, which has quietly built a passionate fanbase since its debut, mixes science fiction, murder mystery, and small-town comedy in a way few shows have managed to replicate. Its upcoming addition to Netflix is especially significant because it brings the story to a close for viewers who have been following it exclusively on streaming.

Resident Alien season 4 is reportedly coming to Netflix this June 2026

According to What’s on Netflix, Resident Alien season 4 is set for a release on Netflix on Saturday, June 6, 2026. All 10 episodes are expected to drop on this date, so you’ll be able to binge the entire final season in one go. With the fourth installment being added to Netflix soon, we recommend at least rewatching the third season in preparation. That way, you’ll be fully ready to pick up right where things left off!

Created by Chris Sheridan and based on the Dark Horse comic series by Peter Hogan and Steve Parkhouse, Resident Alien takes a familiar sci-fi concept and twists it into something unexpectedly heartfelt. At the center of the story is an alien, played by Alan Tudyk, who crash-lands on Earth with a clear mission. That’s to destroy humanity. But after assuming the identity of a small-town doctor named Harry Vanderspeigle in Patience, Colorado, his plans begin to unravel in the most chaotic and often humorous ways.

What makes Resident Alien so compelling is how quickly that original mission becomes secondary. Instead of remaining hidden and detached, Harry is forced to interact with the people of Patience on a daily basis. He treats patients, gets pulled into local disputes, and slowly becomes entangled in the emotional lives of the town’s residents.

What then starts as a strategic disguise gradually turns into something far more complicated, as Harry finds himself navigating human behavior in real time without fully understanding the rules. Joining Tudyk in the Resident Alien cast are Sara Tomko, Corey Reynolds, Alice Wetterlund, Levi Fiehler, Judah Prehn, Elizabeth Bowen, Meredith Garretson, and others.

As the final season prepares to arrive on Netflix in June, interest in the series is likely to surge once again. New viewers will have the opportunity to discover it for the first time, while longtime fans will finally get to see how the story concludes.

In fact, we wouldn’t be surprised if the sci-fi series ends up ranking on Netflix’s top 10 daily TV shows list once it drops. We’ll just have to wait and see!
