Another week of Netflix new releases is upon us, and while this week doesn’t boast one of the most popular Netflix original series, there are a lot of great titles to look forward to. If you’re still making your way through the latest new shows, including comedy series Running Point season 2 and breakout action thriller Man on Fire, it’s time to carve out some space on your watch list!
Last week’s new release Netflix shows were once again on the lighter side ahead of Mother’s Day weekend. The streaming service launched the second season of chilling documentary series Worst Ex Ever and also dropped the limited series Lord of the Flies. Both series have immediately taken up residence in the Top 10 most popular shows ranking, but they will soon have company.
In the week ahead, a diverse collection of new Netflix shows will bow between May 11 and May 15, and there’s really something for every kind of viewer. If you’re an anime fan, a fan-favorite series returns with a new season. Crime thriller fans also have something to look forward to, as do reality television buffs. Devil May Cry season 2
- Release Date: Tuesday, May 12
First up on Netflix’s new release calendar this week, the streamer drops the highly anticipated follow-up season of its critically acclaimed anime series that premiered last April. Devil May Cry season 2 on Tuesday, May 12, just a little over one year after its premiere on Netflix in spring 2025.
Based on the Japanese video game of the same name, Devil May Cry season 2 once again centers on orphaned demon hunter Dante as he continues to be the hero the world needs when a portal opens up between the realms separating humans from demons.
Just the the first season, Devil May Cry season 2 contains eight episodes that track Dante’s work with DARKCOM to take on White Rabbit, as well as his battle to fight his own demons as his twin brother Vergil returns. If you have been waiting over a year, you don’t want to miss this season!

Perfect Match season 4
- Release Date: Wednesday, May 13
If you take a look at the current state of the Netflix Top 10 most-watched shows ranking on the homepage, there’s one particular genre that’s not accounted for: A good, juicy reality show. We’re in desperate need of some drama only reality TV can provide, and we’re getting it this week.
Perfect Match season 4 premieres on Wednesday, May 13, and it’s the messy dating competition series we need to get us through the late-spring, pre-summer doldrums. Once again, Love is Blind co-host Nick Lachey returns to be the ring leader of the madness in the new season.
As always, Perfect Match brings together a bunch of different larger-than-life personalities from across the reality television landscape, putting familiar faces together to see if they can find their perfect match. The fourth season airs across three weeks, with the finale airing on May 27.

Nemesis
- Release Date: Thursday, May 14
Hurry your way through your latest binge-watch, because you’re going to want to make sure Netflix’s new drama series has your undivided attention as soon as possible. You don’t want to be behind the rest of the world when they’re obsessed with Nemesis and it’s all everyone’s talking about.
From Power creator Courtney A. Kemp, Nemesis stars Matthew Law and Y’lan Noel as a police detective and an expert criminal who find themselves thrust together. The series has been described by Netflix as one that subverts the typical heist drama and explores deeper themes.
Based on its synopsis and the creator it hails from, there’s no doubt that Nemesis has the potential to become a breakout success on Netflix. And it sounds like exactly the kind of show that you decide to put on to give a shot then realize eight hours later that you watched every episode.

Berlin season 2
- Release Date: Friday, May 15
Completing a nearly full week of Netflix new releases, the week concludes with the new season of a series that has been one of the top titles fans have been looking forward to. Following its premiere in December 2023, fans have been counting down the days for Berlin season 2.
Well, the day has finally arrived as the second season of the Money Heist spinoff premieres on Friday, May 15. The new season boasts the title Berlin and the Lady with an Ermine as Berlin and his team are set on their next mission to steal the piece of art created by Leonardo Da Vinci.
Once again, Berlin season 2 contains eight episodes of nonstop heist excitement. There will be plenty of twists and turns to look forward to this season, as you can never expect a heist to go exactly as you planned it, even when you’re Berlin. Don’t miss the long-awaited new season this week!
