Josh Duggar sent several sexual messages to his wife, Anna Duggar, while waiting to be sentenced for his child porn arrest.
People obtained multiple conversations between the couple that took place in 2022 while Josh, 38, was in custody at the Washington County Detention Center in Arkansas following his arrest.
“[I] miss you my lover. I miss being in the shower with you scrubbing, I miss watching you try on clothes, I miss watching you being sexy,” Josh wrote to Anna, 37, before congratulating her for “making the scale numbers lower than expected” and suggesting she buy herself “something low cut.”
He continued: “[O]r you can try on clothes and send me a pic of you in your bra and panties 😉 or try on ‘go to the private pool for sun’ swimsuit? Btw you should order you a 2-piece swimsuit since summer is coming on soon, get something hot and fun.”
Josh gushed about his love for his wife in the intimate message.
“I LOVE YOU FOREVER! HUGS AND KISSES … AND EVERYTHING ELSE TOO! XOXOXOXOXO O: I LOVE YOU SEXY! x: :}v :}OvO,” he concluded.
In a separate message, Josh made a request of his wife, writing, “P.s. – send pics asap as requested, imlied [sic], inferred or otherwise stated lol. nice one(s) with your twos in it! (OvO).”
Josh followed that up with his response to the photos.
“P.s. – i cant [sic] wait till we can be alone again,” he added. “I miss ALL of you! what specificially [sic] are you thinking/dreaming/fantasizing about today that you miss? i miss you and me being US! tell me later? :O”
Days before his sentencing, Josh described to Anna “what we could be doing,” which included “a really awesome foot rub,” “a back rub” or “something relaxing.”
“And then we could really have some fun … once we were nice and relaxed! So many memories flooding my mind right now,” he wrote while asking for more photos of Anna. “Your sexy cleavage is amazing! Thank you for thinking of me!”
Another message included Josh sharing new details about his time behind bars.

Both of us enjoying each other and taking things up a notch,” he wrote. “The intensity is off the charts! You are amazing. You are fun! You are gorgeous, sexy, and beautiful — all in one! You are my precious, lovely bride. my lover. my passion. my dream girl! I am yours and thank you for being mine! I LOVE ALL OF YOU ANNA!”
Before his arrest, Josh and Anna weathered several scandals in the public eye. In 2015, it was revealed that Josh had molested multiple girls as a teenager, some of whom were his sisters. He noted in a statement at the time that he previously sought counseling for his “wrongdoings.”
“Twelve years ago, as a young teenager, I acted inexcusably for which I am extremely sorry and deeply regret,” he wrote via the family’s Facebook account. “I hurt others, including my family and close friends.”
Months later, hackers released stolen data from the website Ashley Madison, which led to Josh admitting he was unfaithful to his wife after his account was exposed. The couple, who tied the knot in 2008, remained married and now share seven children.
Josh was arrested in 2021 and later convicted of receiving and possessing child sexual abuse materials. He is currently serving his 151-month sentence in federal prison.
