9-1-1: Nashville Season 2 Cast: Ryan Phillipe Crashes Music City
9-1-1 Season 2 will definitely be teased in finale post-mort interviews, but there’s one BIG change fans can expect in the sophomore season. Ryan Phillippe is joining the cast! As Deadline reported on April 20, Phillippe is joining the first responder drama as a series regular and reportedly has a multi-year deal.
Here’s how Deadline describes his role: “…A brilliant, iconoclastic detective who moves to Nashville from New York. A seductive bad boy with a past, he’ll stir up all kinds of juicy drama with our first responders while leading an investigation into a mysterious criminal tormenting Nashville on a biblical scale.” What a hook!
Phillippe will bring even more serious star power to the 9-1-1 spinoff, and his induction into the 9-1-1 universe opens a door for a potential I Know What You Did Last Summer reunion with OG series star Jennifer Love Hewitt. The 51-year-old actor amassed nearly 80 film and TV credits since kicking off his on-screen career in 1993. He’s well-known for Cruel Intentions, Shooter, Crash, and more major titles. (Also never forget he had a perfect role selling Ryan Phillippe Steaks in I Love That for You. RIP!)
9-1-1: Nashville Season 1 is now streaming on Hulu.
