After The Bonfire Of Destiny and the upcoming Countess of Monte Cristo, both TF1 and Netflix remain firmly in the Audrey Fleurot business. Her new project, an adventure show, is currently in production, and we have a few more details to share.
After the runaway success of light procedural High Potential, which concluded in 2025 to record ratings, fiery redhead comedian Audrey Fleurot has cemented herself as one of the most recognizable and beloved faces on French television.
Netflix subscribers have been able to see her in the first season of high-end period drama The Bonfire of Destiny, but they are about to see much more of her in the next few months. First, the new, free adaptation of cult novel The Count of Monte Cristo, where Mercedes Herrera (Fleurot) is the one seeking revenge. The Countess of Monte Cristo is expected to have a major launch next fall on TF1 and then on Netflix, and Fleurot is all over the project, serving as both the star and executive producer.

On the creative side, the show is supervised by Antonin Martin-Hilbert (Criminal France), who also co-created the series alongside Florent Meyer (L’Ile aux 30 Cercueils). Outside of both these writers, the writing staff for the 6 episodes will include Anaïs Carpita, Thalia Rebinsky, and Philippe Lefebvre; directing for the series will also be handled by Philippe Lefebvre.
Right after that, she is expected to star in Chercheurs d’Or, a decidedly lighter project, which she will also produce (with Djibril Glissant) through her company Bahia Blanca, alongside Big Band Story.
The synopsis reads as follows :
Stella Rivière (Audrey Fleurot) is an insurance agent who is living a daily life perfectly under control, and without unexpected surprises. Only her mother, disillusioned scientist Annie (Ludmila Mikaël) is really part of her life. It all is turned upside down once Annie is kidnapped right under Stella’s eyes. Kidnappers demand Stella retrieve the legendary treasure of pirate La Buse, somewhere in the island of La Réunion (Mascarene Islands). The treasure already drove her father insane and led him to leave his own family behind. In order to save her mother, Stella has no choice but to go on an adventure alongside carefree local Liam (Guillaume Labbé). Together, they will face off against mercenaries, natural disasters and their own contradictions during a life-changing adventure.
Guillaume Labbé, the male lead, has enjoyed a steady career as a leading man in many French series. Netflix subscribers might recognize him as one of the guys in the short-lived French version of Alpha Males, Shafted.
The cast is rounded out by French comedy legend Thierry Lhermitte, former Miss France contestant Marie Payet, Marc Riso, Youssef Hajdi, Damien Dennemont, and Clément Moreau.
When can we expect Chercheurs d’Or on Netflix?
The show is currently shooting between the French Riviera and the island of La Réunion. It is expected to launch next year, first in France on TF1, then globally on Netflix; through a new partnership, French Netflix subscribers will also be able to find the show after it airs, or watch it as it airs on TF1 through the Netflix app.
