Camila Mendes and Maya Hawke star in the team-up comedy as Drea and Eleanor, a former member of the popular clique and a new student in school. Looking to exact revenge on the people who have wronged them, Drea and Eleanor find small ways to make big statements to get back at their enemies. However, a surprising twist changes the game and tests their friendship.
Do Revenge might quietly be one of the best Netflix movies ever released, and that’s not hyperbole. The movie is genuinely funny from top to bottom thanks to a sharp script and stellar performances from everyone in the cast. It’s not every day that we actually get a quotable movie these days like we used to with the likes of Mean Girls, but here’s a movie that will also stand the test of time.
You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah (2023)

Since Roommates stars Sadie Sandler in her first leading role in a movie, it’s a must to go back and watch her previous biggest role in a movie. Sandler has been appearing in her dad Adam Sandler’s movies since she was a kid, but the 19-year-old actress is breaking out on her own. But the whole Sandler family starred in the 2023 movie You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah.
Based on the book of the same name by Fiona Rosenbloom, the movie centers on a pair of best friends who have been dreaming about their bat mitzvahs. But all of their plans quickly go out the window when they begin to fight over the same boy and their parties become a chaotic battleground. All in all, it’s a funny and heartwarming family comedy full of teen angst and outlandish humor.

While her acting appearances have significantly decreased as she focused on her music, we can’t forget where she started.
Back in August 2020, long before “Espresso” would become the song of the summer four years later, Sabrina Carpenter starred in the Netflix original movie Work It. In the movie, she plays Quinn Ackerman, who dreams of attending Duke University, but she needs to win a dance competition in order to get in. She puts together a group of dancers to help make her dreams come true.
Who doesn’t love a good dance movie, and who doesn’t love Sabrina Carpenter? Honestly, Carpenter leading the movie should be reason enough to tune it, especially if you missed the movie the first time around. Since its release, the multi-talented star has made few appearances in movies, but from her theatrical work on stage and in music videos, we need her back on our screens.
