According to What’s on Netflix, Bet season 2 is reportedly slated to begin filming on June 6, 2026, and wrap on Aug.13, 2026, in Toronto, Canada. That’s basically a little over two months, which isn’t long at all. The news outlet stated that this filming update came from the Directors’ Guild of Canada.
While Netflix itself hasn’t confirmed these dates, the appearance of such specific timing in production reports signals that things may finally be moving forward after a long period of silence. It’s the most precise indication yet of when the second season could actually go into production. Series creator Simon Barry even shared an exciting post on X on April 3, hinting that he’s gearing up to shoot the second season of the teen drama. Check it out below!

If these reported filming dates hold up, they offer a clearer timeline for when viewers might expect Bet season 2 to hit Netflix. Looking at how long it took for the first season — which was filmed in mid‑2024 and released in May 2025 — a similar production and post‑production cycle could suggest a release sometime in 2027. We could be looking at a summer or fall 2027 release.

At the end of season 1, Yumeko’s journey took a dramatic turn as she uncovered secrets about her family and exposed fractures within St. Dominic’s social hierarchy.
Season 2 will likely follow Yumeko as she continues her personal mission to confront those responsible for past injustices against her parents. She’ll also likely go on a journey to find her mother, who was initially thought to have died in a car fire. Characters like Kira, who has her own vendetta against her dad, are likely to join Yumeko in taking down the rest of the Kakegurui club members as well.
Miku Martineau is set to return as Yumeko. Ayo Solanke, Eve Edwards, Clara Alexandrova, Hunter Cardinal, Anwen O’Driscoll, Aviva Mongillo, and Ryan Sutherland are expected to return as well for the 10-episode second installment.
