FOX News Digital achieved its strongest performance to date during the first quarter of 2026, drawing an average of 187 million total digital multiplatform unique visitors each month. The platform generated more than 5.5 billion multiplatform views and exceeded 11.3 billion multiplatform minutes across the three-month period. This accomplishment extended a long streak of leadership in the news sector, representing the 20th consecutive quarter at the top for views and the 15th straight quarter leading in minutes consumed. On desktop and mobile platforms specifically, FOX News averaged 91.4 million unique visitors, placing it ahead of every other major news brand, including CBSNews.com, which recorded 87 million in the same category.
March stood out as a particularly dominant month for the network. FOX News Digital reached 209 million total digital multiplatform unique visitors, a figure that surpassed 200 million for the first time by any outlet in the competitive news landscape. The platform also delivered 1.9 billion multiplatform views and 4.1 billion multiplatform minutes that month alone, outpacing all competing news brands and broadcast networks across every major metric.
Video consumption on YouTube provided another area of significant growth and leadership. FOX News accumulated 1.5 billion video views during the quarter, setting a new record for the network and surpassing all other news organizations. This total left the closest rival, MS NOW, trailing by nearly 500 million views at 974 million. The performance more than doubled the 707 million views recorded by CNN and exceeded the combined totals from ABC News at 440 million, NBC News at 364 million, and CBS News at 194 million. The growth reflected a 21 percent increase compared to the same period in the prior year and a 51 percent rise from the previous quarter. FOX Business added to the momentum on the platform with 193 million video views, marking a 25 percent improvement over the preceding quarter. This marked the sixth consecutive quarter in which FOX News held the top position among news brands on YouTube.
The FOX News Mobile app contributed substantially to the overall audience expansion. It attracted an average of 6.5 million unique viewers per month throughout the first quarter, comfortably ahead of the CNN mobile app, which averaged four million unique viewers in the same timeframe. This mobile engagement helped reinforce the network’s broad reach across devices and platforms.
Social media activity further highlighted the audience connection. FOX News led all news brands in total interactions for the quarter, achieving its second-highest quarterly performance on record in this area. The network generated 430 million social media interactions overall, including 219 million on Facebook, 75 million on Instagram, and 20 million on X. On TikTok, the platform drove 116.6 million interactions, representing its strongest quarter ever on that service. Video views on social media platforms reached a record 7.1 billion for the quarter, underscoring the appeal of short-form and shareable content formats.
FOXBusiness.com maintained a solid position within the business news category. The site delivered 577 million multiplatform minutes during the quarter, finishing third among dedicated business outlets. It also posted 324 million multiplatform views and averaged 32.5 million total digital multiplatform unique visitors each month. These results demonstrated continued strength in specialized financial and economic coverage alongside the broader news operations.
The collective digital success across websites, mobile applications, YouTube, and social channels illustrated a comprehensive strategy that resonated with audiences seeking timely information and analysis. Factors such as breaking news coverage, in-depth reporting, and engaging video content appeared to drive sustained interest, resulting in record or near-record figures in multiple categories. The consistent outperformance against major competitors, including legacy broadcast networks and digital-first outlets, pointed to a deepening preference among online users for the FOX News approach to storytelling and information delivery.
This momentum built on previous periods of growth, with year-over-year gains in several key areas despite a competitive environment where other major players experienced flat or declining figures in certain segments. The achievement of crossing the 200 million monthly unique visitor threshold in March alone highlighted an expanding digital footprint that few, if any, news organizations had previously attained. Overall, the first quarter of 2026 represented a benchmark period that reinforced FOX News Media’s standing at the forefront of digital news consumption in the United States.
