Ahead of Cannes, Mubi has snatched up rights across multiple international territories for Hope, the new sci-fi action thriller from South Korean director Na Hong-Ji (The Wailing, The Yellow Sea), which will premiere in the Cannes competition lineup later this month. Mubi secured all rights for Hope in Latin America, Italy, Spain, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Turkey. The company will announce its Hope theatrical release plans in the coming months. The Locarno Film Festival will celebrate American filmmaker Darren Aronofsky with its Honorary Leopard, the Pardo d’Onore, presented by Manor, at its 79th edition this summer, organizers said on Tuesday.
