EXCLUSIVE: Chris Hemsworth and Ben Grayson’s Wild State media company has set an exclusive partnership with Australia’s Tatts Finke Desert Race to develop various projects surrounding this two-day epic motorsport race including a narrative feature being developed as a starring vehicle for Hemsworth. The feature film is in early development with Ricky Staub and Dan Walser penning the script.
Additionally, Wild State is producing unscripted content around the race including teaming up with freestyle motocross legend, Robbie Maddison, as he takes on the race for the first time.
“Off road racing has been a passion in my family for a long time and we at Wild State are thrilled to partner with the Tatts Finke Desert Race on the eve of its 50th anniversary and bring this epic competition to a global audience,” says Hemsworth.
The Tatts Finke Desert Race is one of the biggest annual sporting events in the Northern Territory. It is recognized as the most exciting Off-Road Race in Australia with the added reputation of being one of the most difficult courses in one of the most remote places in the world. This June marks the 50th Anniversary of the event.
Wild State’s recent projects include the Disney+ series Limitless with Chris Hemsworth, Netflix’s Extraction franchise, Crime 101 with Amazon and the upcoming Corsair Code with Apple.
