From the long-awaited return of Avatar: The Last Airbender to new crime dramas, Netflix has a glut of anticipated series in store for June 2026.

June 2026 on Netflix is as much about returning series as it is about exciting new ones. The streamer will bring its live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender back to our screens after two years of waiting. So too does the streamer enter summer with a new season of fan-favorite, heartwarming drama Sweet Magnolias, which arrives over a year after its previous season concluded.

As well as returning shows, it’s another big month for crime with The Witness and Harlan Coben’s I Will Find You. Which series need to be on your radar for June 2026? Here’s our rundown. Check out here to see Netflix’s full slate of June releases.

The Witness

Coming to Netflix: June 4

Coming out of Netflix’s British division is the 3-part drama series The Witness. Of course, the streamer has already had a solid 2026 for British dramas based on true stories — look no further than Legends.

The Witness takes viewers back to England in 1992, when 23-year-old mother Rachel Nickell was brutally stabbed to death on Wimbledon Common in London. The crime was committed in the daytime when she was walking her dog. Also by her side was her two-year-old son, Alex, who was the only witness to the murder. The case garnered immense media coverage, as did the miscarriage of justice that surrounded it. During the investigation, the police narrowed their suspicions down to an innocent man, Colin Stagg, who was spied on during an undercover operation to squeeze a confession out of him. The real murderer was Robert Napper.

Written by Rob Williams, the Netflix series is told through the eyes of Rachel’s partner André Hanscombe, who’s played by Jordan Bolger (Peaky Blinders, The 100).

At the same time as The Witness, Netflix will release the documentary The Murder of Rachel Nickell, chronicling the real case and the years-long investigation into it.

Teach You a Lesson

Coming to Netflix: June 5

So far in 2026, Korea has been one of the streamer’s most successful regions for original series, ranging from supernatural rom-coms to superheroes to psychological thrillers. Some examples of the best Korean Netflix series of 2026 so far include Boyfriend on Demand, My Royal Nemesis, and The Wonderfools. Up next is Teach You a Lesson, starring Kim Moo-yul (Juvenile Injustice, Sweet Home) and Lee Sung-min (Pasta, The 8th Night).

Teach You a Lesson follows a team of harsh, unconventional inspectors who foray into schools amid concerns that student respect is collapsing. They attempt to set things right, but in doing so, their lessons are unlike anything schools have ever seen.

Sweet Magnolias (Season 5)

Coming to Netflix: June 11

Since it debuted on the streamer back in 2020, Sweet Magnolias has established itself as one of Netflix’s most feel-good and wholesome dramas, set in the small-town community of Serenity, South Carolina. However, the new season sees the show expand its horizons. In Season 5, lifelong best friends Maddie, Dana Sue, and Helen are in for a particularly wild ride. The girls are headed for New York City, with Maddie taking on an exciting job in Manhattan. Meanwhile, the wedding bells are ringing as Helen prepares to tie the knot with Erik, after years of fan anticipation.

In addition, this season adds The Sopranos‘ Jamie-Lynn Sigler to its cast as Nell Winters, who’s introduced to Maddie in New York. All things considered, Sweet Magnolias Season 5 is set to be a landmark installment in the series.

Viral Hit

Coming to Netflix: June 11

Hailing from Netflix Japan, Viral Hit follows a teen who finds himself unwittingly thrust into the spotlight when a video of him in a brawl goes viral. Rather than feel embarrassed, he gets inspired and realizes that starting fights with others and going viral again has the potential to change his life.

The series is headlined by young Japanese actor Ouji Sazuka, who has already risen to prominence on Netflix thanks to his role in The Days (2023). At the moment, he’s starring in Reborn, a series currently streaming on Netflix. Viral Hit marks Sazuka’s first lead role on Netflix.

Beavis & Butt-Head

beavis and butthead to stream on netflix for first time

Distribution: Licensed by Netflix
Coming to Netflix: June 16

Netflix viewers will soon be able to watch both classic 1990s Beavis & Butt-Head episodes and the 2022 revival series. The streamer has acquired the legendary 1990s animated sitcom in the form of both the curated original series Beavis and Butt-head: The Mike Judge Collection: Vol. 1-3 and Mike Judge’s Beavis and Butt-Head: Seasons 1-2 (the 2022 revival seasons that originally released on Paramount+).

Both collections arrive on Netflix US on June 16; it’s currently unclear whether other Netflix regions will receive the collection at a later date. You can learn more about the acquisition here.

I Will Find You

Coming to Netflix: June 18

Netflix has been the home of Harlan Coben adaptations for many years now, and the collaboration between the author and the streamer has given subscribers some top-tier dramas, from Missing You to Fool Me Once to (most recently) Run Away. Up next is I Will Find You, an 8-episode thriller boasting one of the strongest core casts of any Coben series: Sam Worthington (Avatar), Emmy-winning Britt Lower (AppleTV’s Severance), and Milo Ventimiglia (This is Us).

I Will Find You follows David Burroughs (Worthington), an innocent father serving a life sentence for his son’s murder. When he receives evidence that his son may still be alive, he attempts to break out of prison to learn the truth.

This adaptation marks the first time a series in Netflix and Coben’s partnership has been released in the United States, but another is to come.

Oasis

Coming to Netflix: June 19

Netflix’s drama Oasis tells a murder mystery story set inside one of Spain’s most luxurious resorts, known as Oasis — a paradise reserved for the wealthiest families, featuring private beaches, VIP facilities, and impenetrable security. The place is so exclusive that when a mysterious disappearance takes place, everyone is a suspect. Nobody arrives or leaves Oasis without their name being checked, so the perpetrator must only be inside the resort, and no one can leave until the culprit is found. Every guest, no matter how powerful or esteemed, holds secrets that could help uncover the culprit.

Oasis is headlined by Ana Garcés (The Promise), Tomy Aguilera (Welcome to Eden), and Victoria Kantch (Por tus muertos). The series is co-created by Ramón Campos, who previously worked on crime film A Widow’s Game at Netflix.

Avatar: The Last Airbender (Season 2)

Coming to Netflix: June 25

Over two years after Netflix debuted its live-action remake of Avatar: The Last Airbender, the series is back with another installment — and the cast has grown a lot in that time.

After Avatar Aang (Gordon Cormier) and his team managed to defeat the Fire Nation fleet at the end of the first season, when we next catch up with them, they head to the heart of the Earth Kingdom, and its capital, Ba Sing Se, where Aang must learn to master the Earth element. The series will introduce fan-favorite, sharp-witted character Toph Beifong (Miya Cech), aka the Blind Bandit, who joins them on their journey and teaches Aang everything there is to know about Earthbending.
