Veteran location manager and production supervisor Mike Fantasia, whose credits range from A River Runs Through It and Jerry Maguire to Top Gun: Maverick and Killers of the Flower Moon, is set for a big career honor this summer. The Location Managers Guild International said Wednesday that he will receive its 2026 Lifetime Achievement Award.
Fantasia will be feted at the 13th LMGI Awards on August 22 at the the Eli and Edythe Broad Stage in Santa Monica.
After a 13-year career with the U.S. Forest Service and Fish and Wildlife Service, Fantasia pivoted to the film business in 1991. His dozens of film credits also include The Amazing Spider-Man, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Heat, Catch Me If You Can, the Free Willy films, Seabiscuit, Ant-Man and its 2018 sequel, Godzilla, The Green Hornet, 3:10 to Yuma, Army of the Dead and Steven Spielberg’s Memoirs of a Geisha, Munich and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

“Mike Fantasia is one of those rare cases where the work doesn’t just speak, it keeps teaching the rest of us how to do the job better,” LMGI President Danny Finn said in a statement. “He’s a personal hero of mine and countless other LMGI members, and the resonance of his work is baked into this craft. The Lifetime Achievement Award is our way of putting a name to what everyone in this industry has known about Mike for a long time.”
