The current “hockey-centric romance series based on a book” of the moment, Off Campus, has just released its list of Emmy submissions for the performance categories, along with its plan to be in the running for Outstanding Drama Series.
Based on the hit book series by writer Elle Kennedy, Off Campus follows Belmont Cameli’s Garrett Graham and Ella Bright’s Hannah Wells, who strike a very tropey bargain. If she tutors him and gets his grades up enough to stay on the Briar University hockey team, he’ll pretend to be her in boyfriend in order to make her crush jealous.
And you’ll never guess what happens!
But those who know the world of television awards shouldn’t be very surprise to learn that both Cameli and Bright will be submitted for their respective Outstanding Lead in a Drama Series categories. The romance’s split perspective has both the hero and heroine sharing the spotlight and potentially the top acting category at the Emmys.

Prime Video will also be submitting three supporting performances from Off Campus for consideration. Both Stephen Thomas Kalyn, who plays Dean Di Laurentis, and Antonio Cipriano, who plays Josh Logan — both friends and teammates to Garrett — will be submitted for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. Mika Abdalla, who plays Allie Hayes — Hannah’s roomate — will run in Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.
