EXCLUSIVE: Writer-director Rex Bressler has locked cast for The Avoidant, his feature directorial debut, shooting in Los Angeles in mid-May. The call sheet includes Adam Goldberg (The Equalizer), Robin Tunney (The Craft), Jessie T. Usher (The Boys), Ian Ousley (Avatar: The Last Airbender), Carmela Zumbado (You), Brenna D’Amico (Descendants), and Joely Fisher (Till Death).
The Avoidant is billed as a psychological thriller about grief, suicide, and the cost of avoiding difficult decisions. Further details as to the plot are under wraps.
Matt Luber and Brian Yuran are set to produce, with casting by Jeremy O’Keefe, CSA and his associate Vitória Silvestre. Additional cast members include Cedric Gegel, TJ Minor, Daria Rae Berenato, and Sibongile Mlambo.
