With Stranger Things over (despite what some online conspiracy theorist may tell you), Netflix was going to have a Demogorgon-shaped hole ins lineup, but the Duffer brothers have another Spielbergian riff up their sleeve.
The Boroughs comes from creators Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews — with the Duffers executive producing — and the cast alone could make it a formidable Stranger Things replacement when it comes to awards.
Gold Derby can exclusively reveal the Emmys submission lineup for The Boroughs, including Alfred Molina‘s role as the ensembles sole lead acting contender. The supporting cast is stacked with Geena Davis, Alfre Woodard, Denis O’Hare, and Clarke Peters. Bill Pullman, who has been featured in the promotional material, will run in Guest Actor in a Drama Series, along with Ed Begley, Jr.
