American Idol poll: Hannah Harper leads Season 24 finale

Hannah Harper is heading into the American Idol Season 24 finale exactly where she’s been almost all season: on top.

After Monday’s episode revealed the final three — Hannah, Keyla Richardson, and Jordan McCullough — and eliminated Braden Rumfelt and Chris Tungseth, our latest poll asked readers a simple question: Who do you want to win?

The answer, at least for now, is clear — but we’ll keep counting votes until Monday.

Hannah leads with 49.3% of the vote, followed by Jordan at 30.3% and Keyla at 20.4%.

It’s a familiar position for Hannah, who has dominated our polling all season long. The only exception came on Disney Night, when Jordan surged to first place after his standout performance of “Colors of the Wind.” Since then, Hannah has reclaimed and held her lead, while Keyla consistently hovered within striking distance and Jordan steadily climbed from the middle of the pack into true contender status.

American Idol 24 Predictions: Finale

Now, with just one vote left, the dynamics of this final three could play right into Hannah’s favor.

She’s the lone country artist in the finale — a lane that often performs well with Idol voters. Meanwhile, Jordan and Keyla occupy a more similar space as powerhouse vocalists with gospel and soul influences, potentially splitting a shared audience in a tight race.

We’ve seen a version of this before. Last season, eventual winner Jamal Roberts benefited as fellow country singers John Foster and Breanna Nix divided that voting bloc. This year, the inverse could be true — with Hannah emerging as the beneficiary of a split between Jordan and Keyla.

Since American Idol moved to ABC in Season 16, the show has crowned its winner from a final three rather than the traditional final two from its Fox era — though Season 18 briefly expanded to a five-person finale during the COVID-impacted cyle.

Prediction: Hannah Harper will be named the Season 24 winner when Ryan Seacrest dims the lights one last time on May 11.

But with Jordan’s late-season momentum and Keyla’s steady support, this race isn’t locked — just leaning. Do you agree with these rankings? Sound off in the comments and make your predictions in Gold Derby’s predictions center.
