This post contains spoilers from Crew Girl season 1 from this point forward.

During a summer full of excellent teen drama series, Netflix went ahead and concluded the season with one last great entry with the new show Crew Girl. The coming-of-age drama features Bet star Miku Martineau as the titular crew girl Teagan Tao, a rowing phenom whose life is blown up, turned upside down, and started completely from scratch at a new school.

Teagan and her mother move to a new town, where she attends the elite Easton Prep. Because there’s no girls’ rowing teaming, she manages to fight her way onto the boys’ crew team. But keeping afloat and proving herself aren’t the only challenges Teagan faces. She also winds up at the center of a love triangle between rivals Josh Regis (Samuel Braun) and Cam Dillinger (Kyle Clark).

Crew Girl pushes Teagan toward and away from Josh and Cam as her relationships fluctuate with both of her teammates. Josh, a rich kid with secrets, is hot and cold, while Cam’s insecurities and resolve present Teagan with other challenges. But who does she end up with by the end of the first season? There’s an answer, and we’re explaining what happens below!

Teagan chooses between Josh and Cam in the Crew Girl season 1 finale

The first season ends with Teagan and Cam sharing a kiss in the boathouse after getting second place in their race and resolving the issues that threatened to tear their team apart. More specifically, Teagan and Cam’s relationship seemed to be beyond repair after she stepped in to sabotage their scores at the invitational race when she learns Ryder paid him to lose on purpose.

On top of Teagan going against Cam’s wishes and interfering, his trust in her also was on shaky ground after she and Josh got into a car accident. She asked Cam to fix his car in order to keep his secret, which she wouldn’t tell Cam the truth about to maintain her trust with Josh. Regardless, he continued to believe in her despite any reservations he might have had.

Teagan and Cam ending the season with kiss otherwise confirms that the couple ends up together, or at the very least, they will be exploring an actual relationship if Netflix renews the series for a second season. From their first meet-cute in the premiere episode, sparks had been flying between them, and Cam eventually worked up the nerve to ask Teagan out on a date to winter formal.

However, Cam ultimately decided that he wasn’t ready to date her because of the differences he feels between himself, her, and the rest of the team. After Cam breaks things off with Teagan, she began seeing Josh. For a few episodes, the pair gave into their own attraction for each other in the wake of his relationship with Britney blowing up and his health problems becoming bigger.

But Teagan and Josh ultimately wound up just being friends, which they confirm when a very unsubtly jealous Cam refers to Josh as Teagan’s boyfriend. In the end, Teagan probably ended up with the person she should have between the two, but this surely won’t be the end of her love triangle troubles with Josh and Cam. For now, Teagan and Cam have kissed and are on the road to being a couple.
