Live from New York, it’s the debut lineup of guest hosts and musical performers for Saturday Night Live in Season 52.
SNL producers announced Wednesday that the season opens on Sept. 26 with first-time guest host Jalen Brunson of NBA champions the New York Knicks and musical guest Katseye. Dakota Johnson (Verity) follows with her third hosting gig on Oct. 3 with musical guest Turnstile. Shane Gillis (Tires) returns for a third time on Oct. 10 with musical guest Rosalía. And rookie host Inde Navarrette kicks off her Oscar campaign for Obsession on Halloween night with musical guest Gracie Abrams.
NBC released no new information about which cast members from Season 51 will be returning. Last year’s ensemble consisted of Tommy Brennan, Michael Che, Jeremy Culhane, Mikey Day, Andrew Dismukes, Marcello Hernández, James Austin Johnson, Colin Jost, Ben Marshall, Ashley Padilla, Kam Patterson, Sarah Sherman, Veronika Slowikowska, Kenan Thompson, and Jane Wickline. It was announced recently that longtime cast member Chloe Fineman has departed the show.
During the recent Creative Arts Emmys, SNL added to its massive collection of trophies. It remains the all-time Emmy leader with a grand total of 114 Emmys over the past 51 seasons (including wins for series and specials). At the 2026 event, it won for makeup but lost in nine other categories. It will compete for Best Variety Series at the Primetime Emmys on Sept. 14.
