Gold Derby is serving up Big Brother 28 spoilers all summer long. Don’t say we didn’t warn you!
Surprise! Even though the Big Brother live feeds were supposed to be off until after Sunday’s episode, they returned early on Saturday at 5 p.m. PT with a close-up of Haley “Thog” Thogmartin’s black-and-white photo on the Memory Wall. That was the show’s way of confirming that the Missouri-based telemedicine executive had been eliminated in the Medieval Times twist.
Haley frequently complained about having a “bad week” in the Big Brother house, despite the weeks where she was safe or even the Head of Household. Well, now she can definitely make that claim.
The Medieval Times twist involved former BB legends Britney Haynes, Tiffany Mitchell, Keanu Soto, and Cody Calafiore hosting a series of games for the 10 remaining players, which would result in one person heading home. Fans have been comparing it to last season’s White Locust twist, in which Rachel Reilly was eliminated after failing to complete a hamster wheel maze.
CBS also revealed the following photo showing everyone (including Haley) competing in the Medieval Times:
Here is how Julie Chen Moonves described the twist: “The houseguests [will be] transported to Medieval Times. The year? 1,000, of course. This unprecedented twist will challenge the houseguests socially and competitively. There will be no Head of Household, no Veto competition, no Block Buster. But, when all is said and done, someone’s game will come to an end before the next live eviction.”
HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD SPOILER
Also when the live feeds returned, it was revealed that Drew Campbell was poppin’ as the Week 8 Head of Household. He claimed victory at some point following Haley’s ouster. This is the first HOH win for the California-based dental assistant.
Drew nominated LaTrice Verrett, Taylor Brown, and Yash Patel for eviction. Those four players, plus Melody Morris and Dee Valladares, were seen wearing the same traditional European folk costumes with suspenders and cream-colored shirts, suggesting they were about to compete for the Power of Veto. Barrett Pfeiffer was the host. The feeds cut out around 6:45 p.m. PT for the Veto competition.
