Gold Derby is serving up Big Brother 28 spoilers all summer long. Don’t say we didn’t warn you!
Six weeks in, and the Big Brother 28 house is finally coming for its biggest guns. Yash Patel, the 24-year-old financial analyst who claimed his first HOH crown after Chuk Anyanwu’s eviction, has locked in his three nominees for Week 6.
After conferring with his allies, Yash put Angela Murray, Dee Valladares, and Haley “Thog” Thogmartin on the block. (CBS will air the nominations ceremony on Sunday.) Early word is that Angela is Yash’s target, Dee is the back-up plan, and Thog is a pawn.
Yash spent Friday in deep strategy talks with Wolfpack ally Rick Devens, floating Thog, Angela, and Dee while ruling out Kamu Kirk and Mallory Aurichio. Devens (secretly) wasn’t thrilled about his closest ally (and fellow Survivor alum) Dee sitting next to Thog or Angela on eviction night. She may not have proven herself to be a powerhouse in comps, but that Survivor win makes her the biggest threat in the house.
Dee didn’t go down without a fight. She tried cashing in the $5K BB Bribe power she picked up back in Week 4 to buy her way off the block, but it didn’t work. Angela wasn’t faring much better β she was spiraling in the hot tub, begging Taylor Brown to convince Yash to reconsider.
It wasn’t all strategy talk on Friday. LaTrice “Lala” Verrett and Thog woke up guns blazin’ with a full-blown “bully” showdown, both slinging the word at each other before Thog stormed off and Lala launched an apology tour around the house. Angela got dragged into the middle of it, with both women convinced she was secretly on their side, and by midmorning she was spiraling to Kamu β literally asking him to feel her racing heart β purely from the stress of staying neutral.
Meanwhile, America’s Time Capsule vote went to Melody Morris. Instead of a power, she landed the dreaded Lord of the Latrine punishment, forcing her into a medieval costume and full bathroom-attendant duty: unlocking the door, blowing a horn, and announcing every houseguest’s trip to the restroom until the punishment lifts.
Stay tuned to find out who wins tomorrow’s Veto competition and if the in-house drama causes Yash to shift targets.
