Roku is Raising the Price of Its Streaming Players By As Much as $50! But You Can Still Get Them For The Old Price For a Limited Time If You Hurry

Roku has implemented significant price increases across its lineup of streaming players, with some models jumping by as much as $50. The changes took effect on the company’s official website in recent days as noticed by The Desk, reflecting broader pressures in the consumer electronics market tied to rising component costs.

The flagship Roku Ultra, long positioned as the top-tier option for demanding users seeking the fastest performance, 4K HDR support, Dolby Vision, and advanced remote features, has moved from its previous $99 price point to $150. Entry-level models have also seen adjustments. The basic Roku streaming player previously available for $30 now lists at $40 on the official site. Other devices in the range, including higher-end sticks, have experienced similar upward shifts, creating a noticeable gap between the manufacturer’s new pricing and what third-party sellers currently offer.

Shoppers who act quickly can still secure the devices at the former lower prices through major online retailers. Amazon continues to list the Roku Ultra at the prior $99 level and has it on sale right now for $81.95. That figure represents the lowest price observed for the model over the past 30 days, delivering meaningful savings compared with the updated official cost. The Roku Streaming Stick 4K remains available on Amazon for $49.99 rather than the elevated $79.99 figure now shown on Roku’s own site.

The Roku Ultra stands out for its powerful processing, support for the latest video formats, Ethernet connectivity options in certain configurations, and a voice remote that includes private listening capabilities through a headphone jack. It appeals to households that stream extensively from multiple services and want minimal lag when switching between apps or navigating large libraries of content. The Streaming Stick 4K offers a more compact form factor that plugs directly into an HDMI port while still delivering 4K resolution, HDR, and long-range wireless performance suitable for most living rooms.

Consumers weighing an upgrade or a first-time purchase of a dedicated streaming device may find the current window particularly advantageous. Many households rely on these players to access free ad-supported channels, live television options, and subscription services without depending solely on built-in smart TV platforms that can become outdated more quickly. The price differential of roughly $50 to $70 on the Ultra alone can make a noticeable difference in overall entertainment budgets, especially for families adding multiple units for different rooms.

The price on Amazon could jump at any time, so don’t wait if you want these discounted prices.

Beyond the immediate cost savings, the timing coincides with ongoing interest in cord-cutting solutions. Streaming players continue to serve as affordable gateways to expansive content libraries, often proving more cost-effective over time than traditional cable packages. The current opportunity allows users to lock in capable hardware before the full effect of the manufacturer’s price revisions becomes industry-wide.

Those interested in the Roku Ultra can still obtain it through Amazon at the reduced $81.95 sale price while supplies last. The Streaming Stick 4K at $49.99 likewise remains accessible for shoppers looking for the original price. Once these deals conclude and remaining inventory clears, the higher official prices are expected to become the new baseline for Roku players across Amazon and other sellers.
