2026 Emmys: Best Comedy Supporting Actor episode submissions revealed

Some major Hollywood talent is crowding the Best Supporting Comedy Actor filed at this year’s Primetime Emmy Awards. The nominations, which were announced earlier this month, range from screen legends to prominent creators pulling double duty.

And now the episode submissions for Colman Domingo, Harrison Ford, Paul W. Down, Nick Offerman, Stephen Root, Michael Urie, and Tyler James Williams have been revealed. Check out the list below to see which episodes TV Academy members will be considering ahead of the awards on Sept. 14.

Colman Domingo (The Four Seasons)

Character: Danny
Episode: “Big Thanksgiving”
Recap: Danny and his husband, Claude, reveal that they’ll be moving to Italy within a few weeks.
Emmy History: Colman won his first Emmy off of his first nomination, as a guest actor on Euphoria. He has since been nominated three more times, once previously for The Four Seasons.

Paul W. Downs (Hacks)

Character: Jimmy
Episode: “QuikScribbl”
Recap: Jimmy and Kayla fly to Kalamazoo in order to convince comedian Bruno Fox to come aboard the Diva as a headliner.
Emmy History: Downs is a 12-time nominee and three-time winner. He’s won two Emmys as a writer for Hacks and one as a producer.

Harrison Ford (Shrinking)

Character: Dr. Paul Rhoades
Episode: “And That’s Our Time”
Recap: Paul’s Parkinson’s symptoms worsen, prompting a move closer to his daughter and a final push to help his colleague Jimmy.
Emmy History: Ford has (somehow) only received two Emmy nominations. His first came only last year, in this same category.

Nick Offerman (Margo’s Got Money Troubles)

Character: James “Jinx” Millet
Episode: “Lariat Takedown”
Recap: A drug overdose lands Jinx in the hospital, prompting him to move out of Margo’s apartment.
Emmy History: Offerman is a double nominee this year thanks to his Best Movie/Limited Supporting Actor nod for Death by Lightning. The two nods mark his 5th and 6th times on shortlists. He previously won in 2023 for Drama Guest Actor for his role in The Last of Us.

Stephen Root (Widow’s Bay)

Character: Wyck Crawford
Episode: “Seasickness”
Recap: Wyck confronts of his fears of the waters around the island when attempting to bring the town’s centuries-old founder to its border.
Emmy History: Despite being a television staple, Root has only earned two nominations. His first came in 2019 in Comedy Supporting Actor with Barry.

Michael Urie (Shrinking)

Character: Brian Lorenzo
Episode: “D-Day”
Recap: Brian and Charlie welcome a new baby, despite some temporary second-guessing from the birth mother.
Emmy History: This nomination is Urie’s second nomination in a row for his role on Shrinking.

Tyler James Williams (Abbott Elementary)

ABBOTT ELEMENTARY - “Goodgirl” - A new member joins Gregory’s Garden Goofballs, and Janine pitches a new club idea to Ava. WEDNESDAY, DEC. 3 (8:30-9:02 p.m. EST) on ABC. (Disney/Gilles Mingasson)

Character: Gregory Eddie
Episode: “Trip”
Recap: Gregory and Janine breakup after a planned trip to the Outer Banks leads to arguments.
Emmy History: Williams is a four-time nominee for his portrayal of Gregory on Abbott Elementary.

The winner for Best Comedy Supporting Actor will be announced at the 78th Primetime Emmys on Sept. 14.
