Another iteration of the legendary CBS franchise NCIS is officially in the works.
NCIS has been apart of the CBS family since 2003, and this fall it will debut its 24th season. Along the way there have been multiple spin-off series such as NCIS: Los Angeles, NCIS: New Orleans, and NCIS: Hawai’i. There is also NCIS: Sydney and NCIS: Orgins, which are set to also return this fall, and now NCIS: New York is heading our way.
NCIS: New York is a direct spin-off of NCIS: Los Angeles, and will follow NCIS Special Agent Sam Hanna (LL Cool J) as he returns to his hometown of New York City. He is joined by Scott Caan, known for his role as Danny Williams in CBS’s Hawaii Five-0, though Caan will be playing NCIS Special Agent Nick Schaeffer in the new series. The pilot for the series was written by R. Scott Gemmill who was a writer on all 14 seasons of NCIS: Los Angeles, and is also the writer and creator behind HBO Max‘s hit medical drama The Pitt.
Additional cast members were recently announced for the new procedural, including an iconic alum of The L-Word. Here is what we know so far about the NCIS: New York cast.
Is Jennifer Beals starring in NCIS: New York?
Yes! Jennifer Beals was recently announced as a new cast member of NCIS: New York. This is Beals’ first lead TV role since the end of The L-Word: Generation Q. Beals will play Robyn Wells, Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the NCIS New York field office. She is described as someone who “leads with her intuition and is widely respected by her team.”
Who else is in the cast of NCIS: New York?
Alongside Beals, Caan, and LL Cool J, actors Jacqueline Byers (Prey For The Devil), Shane Harper (Power Book IV: Force), and Devin Druid (13 Reasons Why) will also star in the new series.
Byers stars as NCIS Special Agent Addison “Addy” Ross, who is described as “a rock-solid, tough and resourceful agent with something to prove.” Harper will play NCIS Special Agent Wyatt Hill and Druid will play NCIS Tech Specialist Sean Sullivan.

NCIS: New York will air Tuesdays at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT this fall on CBS Television Network, with streaming available on Paramount+.
