Taylor Swift just capped off an epic week with one heck of a wedding present.
The newly married star brought her domination of all things pop culture to the world of television this morning, earning her second Emmy nomination, this time for her concert special Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour — The Final Show.
The nod for Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded), which counted Swift as a producer and performer, was one of five nominations that the special received, but the only category that the singer herself was included in.
Swift, however, is already an Emmy winner. She claimed her first nod and win back in 2015 in Outstanding Creative Achievement in Interactive Media — Original Interactive Program. That was when AMEX Unstaged: Taylor Swift Experience took the honor for its 360-degree video app release.
The new Emmy nomination for Swift comes as her original song for the film Toy Story 5, “I Knew It, I Knew You,” sits at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. The track held the top spot for two straight weeks after its debut and has been pegged as an early contender for Best Original Song at next year’s Academy Awards.
And still on the awards horizon for Swift is the 2027 Grammy nominations for which her most recent album, 2025’s The Life of a Showgirl, will finally be eligible. And while a host of nominations are likely for the album, it’s currently lagging behind in Album of the Year, stuck in sixth place, far behind the most likely nominee Olivia Rodrigo for You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love. Showgirl‘s lead single, “The Fate of Ophelia,” however, is faring better in both Record and Song of the Year.
