If you enjoy watching baseball’s biggest stars before they become household names, Peacock has something new to add to your watchlist.

Major League Baseball and NBC Sports have announced Road to the Show, a new five-part documentary series that follows some of baseball’s most exciting young prospects as they chase their dream of reaching the major leagues. The series promises behind-the-scenes access to the players’ lives on and off the field, offering fans a rare look at the work, pressure, and sacrifices that come with trying to make it to The Show.

What is Road to the Show about?

Produced by the Emmy Award-winning MLB Network, Road to the Show follows six of baseball’s brightest rising stars throughout the 2026 season. The series features four top MLB prospects along with two elite college players expected to hear their names called early in the MLB Draft.

MLB players and collegiate stars featured in the docuseries include Braden Montgomery (Chicago White Sox), Gage Wood (Philadelphia Phillies/Reading Fightin’ Phils-AA), Jesús Made (Milwaukee Brewers/Biloxi Shuckers-AA), the No. 1 overall prospect, and Ethan Holliday (Colorado Rockies/Fresno Grizzlies Single-A).

Rather than focusing solely on highlights, the docuseries explores the players’ daily routines, family life, training, and the emotional highs and lows that come with pursuing a career in professional baseball.

When does Road to the Show premiere?

The five-part series premiered July 1 on Peacock, with new episodes releasing weekly through August 2:

  • Episode 1: July 1
  • Episode 2: July 8
  • Episode 3: July 15
  • Episode 4: July 22
  • Episode 5: August 2

Subscribers can stream each episode on demand as it debuts. The series joins Peacock’s growing lineup of MLB programming as NBC Sports returns to broadcasting Major League Baseball in 2026. In addition to exclusive games, Sunday Night Baseball, and whip-around coverage, Peacock is continuing to expand its baseball content with original programming designed to give fans a closer look at the sport beyond the field.
