I Will Find You is the new and buzzy Harlan Coben series on Netflix that has everyone scratching their heads and picking their jaws up off the floor. Hey, if there’s one thing Coben is going to do, it’s make you think about what is really going on behind closed doors. Mission accomplished.
In I Will Find You, parents everywhere have their worst fears realized as one desperate dad, David Burroughs (Sam Worthington), is put to the test. After spending the last five years in prison after being convicted of murdering his son, Matthew, David discovers that his son might still be out there. This comes after David’s sister-in-law, Rachel (Britt Lower), brings him a picture of a young child that looks exactly like Matthew, reigniting his hope that Matthew could be alive.
Spoiler alert: in the end, David and Rachel discover that Matthew is indeed alive and has been living a happy life in the company of a family friend. Yeah, someone went through the trouble of staging a murder to make David look guilty only for Matthew to still be alive.

Will There Be a Season 2 of I Will Find You on Netflix?
As of right now, Netflix has not announced a second season of Harlan Coben’s I Will Find You. The show was conceived by the streaming service as a limited series, so while it’s always an option to extend the series, for right now, we think they are planning to keep it as a one and done situation.
What Has the Cast Said About a Second Season of I Will Find You?
It appears that the cast is pretty firmly against a second season, or at least feels that the first season does an adequate job of telling a complete story and setting up that David and Rachel are never going to be letting Matthew out of their sight again.
“We were saying earlier, we hope this family has nothing more dramatic that they have to experience. They’ve already they’ve been through the ringer.” Lower told DECIDER as Worthington added, “It could be a boring second [season].”
How Does I Will Find You Season 1 End?
Season 1 of I Will Find You ends with the revelation that Hayden (Milo Ventimiglia) is the person responsible for kidnapping Matthew, as he believed the young boy was his son. Hayden, the heir to the Payne family fortune, worked with his mother to swap out Matthew for another little boy — one from an orphanage owned by the Paynes — to plant in David’s home.
