As The Way Home comes to a close, fans can bask in their favorite musical moments from the beloved time-travel drama with the show’s new official playlist.
As Variety reported on May 31, series stars Chyler Leigh, Sadie Laflamme-Snow, and Evan Williams announced that Hallmark Channel would be dropping an official The Way Home playlist on June 12, boasting over 30 songs featured in the series.
Now that the playlist is available to stream wherever you listen to music, DECIDER has an exclusive look at a deleted scene from last Sunday’s (June 7) episode of The Way Home—The Way Home Season 4 Episode 8, “Tainted Love,” to be exact—featuring a song straight from the playlist: teen Colton’s (Jordan Doww) rendition of “Everything I Wanted.”
Fans who watched The Way Home Season 4, Episode 8 will recognize the start of the clip, which sees Alice (Laflamme-Snow) jumps back to the 70. While there, she spots Colton and Del (Julia Tomasone)—who is pregnant with Kat (Leigh) at the time—sharing a special moment together on the porch bench of their home. In the episode that made it to air, the couple share a kiss after praising their synergy, and how they “see the best in one another, even when [they] don’t see it [them]selves.”
However, in the deleted scene, Colton pulls out his guitar and sings a heartfelt rendition of “Everything I Wanted,” the song that he wrote for Del that he also teaches to Alice in The Way Home Season 3. The new playlist also includes Alice’s version of the song, penned in real life by Maria Taylor.

When DECIDER sat down with Snow, Leigh, and Williams this spring, Snow said she thinks “Alice is really looking to her future” in Season 4, explaining that although “she was really convinced that music was going to stay in the past” at the start of Season 3, she ultimately began to change her mind.
“I think spending so much time with Colton changed her a lot and reminded her that that’s what connects her to her family and it connects her to Port Haven, too, which is kind of what brought her out of her shell,” she shared. “So I think for this season, there’s a little look to the future with Alice’s music, and always that connection to Colton, which I think is one of my favorite parts about the story. That relationship that Alice and Colton have through music. And so there’s definitely more moments to look forward to in that department.”
The penultimate episode of The Way Home airs on Sunday, June 14 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Hallmark Channel, with next-day streaming on Hallmark+.
