EXCLUSIVE: Anonymous Content has signed Bollywood megastar Hrithik Roshan, one of the highest-grossing Indian actors of all time.
The actor, filmmaker and entrepreneur’s blockbuster Hindi hits include the Krrish superhero franchise, in which he portrays the titular superhero, and the action movie War, in which he plays a rogue spy agent.
Roshan got his first major break in the 2000 murder-mystery action-romance Kaho Naa…Pyaar Hai, a blockbuster that quickly made him a household name in India.
He has since remained one of the country’s most popular leading men and defining stars, building a legacy of blockbuster films and memorable onscreen performances.
Other landmark credits include ensemble buddy, road trip, coming-of-age film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011), directed by Zoya Akhtar, and family melodrama Kabhi Khushi Khabhie Gham (2001), directed by Karan Johar.
Across a career spanning more than two decades, Roshan’s films have grossed over $600 million, and amassed a significant awards haul.
Breakthrough 2000 film Kaho Naa…Pyaar Hai also saw him become the only Indian actor to win both Best Debut and Best Actor in the Filmfare Awards. In total, he has been feted with Best Actor six times and nominated ten times in the prestigious Indian Awards.
His performance in the 2004 film Koi…Mil Gaya won Hrithik close to a dozen awards in India including Best Actor and Best Actor – Critics at the Filmfare Awards as well as Best Actor in the International Indian Film Academy and Zee Cine awards among others. He is also widely recognized for his dance performances on screen, with sequences that have gained significant popularity and broad reach across audiences.
Roshan will next be seen starring in Krrish 4, reprising his role as superhuman Krishna Mehra in the blockbuster franchise.
As a producer, Roshan is currently in production on Storm, a high-stakes thriller for Prime Video and a significant collaboration between the streamer and his banner, HRX Films, marking his debut as a producer.
Prime Video India and HRX Films have also unveiled Mess, a comedy feature that marks a second collaboration between the two following Storm. He is also the founder of HRX, a leading fitness and athleisure label and one of India’s most successful actor-led brands.
