‘I Love L.A.’ Emmy submissions

HBO clearly loves I Love L.A. The network is submitting Rachel Sennott‘s comedy series for consideration in 18 Primetime Emmy categories including Best Comedy Series and Best Comedy Actress and Best Comedy Directing for its creator and star.

Additional submissions include breakout Marty Supreme star, Odessa A’zion, for Best Comedy Supporting Actress; Club Kid director Jordan Firstman for Best Comedy Supporting Actor; and Sennott’s regular collaborator, Ayo Edibiri, for Best Comedy Guest Actress.

Premiering in November, the eight-episode first season follows Maia (Sennott) a recent New York-to-Los Angeles transplant out to become a major player in the creator/influencer economy. But her ambitions clash with the more modest ambitions of her boyfriend, Dylan (Hutcherson), and occasionally stir up trouble in her friend group. HBO recently renewed I Love L.A. for a second season, and the series just picked up a win for Breakthrough Comedy Series at the 2026 Gotham Television Awards.

Connor Hines, Jessica Harper, Constance Zimmer, Sarah Pidgeon, Paul Anthony Kelly, Grace Gummer, Naomi Watts, and Brad Simpson attend the FYC event for "Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. And Carolyn Bessette"
