The Voice Season 29 “Battle of Champions” concluded on Tuesday in a 12-performance showcase from the Top 4. Coaches Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Adam Levine each came into the season with prior Voice wins looking to be crowned the best of the best. Singing for Team Adam was powerhouse soul vocalist Alexia Jayy and for Team Legend was pianist Lucas West. Team Kelly was the only one represented by two artists: 16 year old dark horse Liv Ciara and dynamic pop singer Mikenley Brown.
Over the course of the night, each finalist performed a ballad and an uptempo track, and although voting among the studio audience began after those two performances, there was still coach duets to follow.

Adam’s comments: “You are important. You make people reflect on their own life. When you tap into that, you make the world feel a little bit more together and communal. That’s really, really, really special. I’ve never experienced the feeling that we all just had together. Thank you for being the messenger, you’re unbelievable.”
Results
To determine the winner of Season 29, the studio audience made up of superfans and Voice alumni voted for their favorite after the first eight performances. While the numbers were tallied, each finalist also performed a duet with their coach. Kelly sang “Stay” by Rihanna and Mykki Ekko with Liv and “What Was I Made For?” by Billie Eilish with Mikenley. Adam and Alexia performed “Sunday Morning” by Maroon 5. John and Lucas took to their pianos together for Elton John’s “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me.”
At the end of the episode, it was revealed that Mikenley Brown took fourth place and Lucas West took third place, leaving the competition down to Alexia for Team Adam and Liv for Team Kelly. Ultimately, the “Battle of Champions” crown went to Adam Levine when Alexia Jayy was declared the Season 29 winner.
